Fuck Cletus Bumfuck and his insanity of starting wars over nothing with previous friends.I still wish for a type of secession here.

I have to ask Victoria. Why 25% tariffs on close neighbors but, a reduced 10% tariff on Chi? I get Wreck mad bully wreck.

Remember during the campaign the 🍊💩promised 60% tariffs on China. Musk comes in late in the campaign and drops $270MM on 🍊💩. Musk relies heavily on China for his businesses. So the tariff is now only 10%. I’m pretty sure that’s the payoff.

Frankly, Tom, we deserve this. The three Democratic committees tasked with winning elections made their greedy decision to raise billions of dollars instead. 75 million of us voted for Harris/Walz - but somewhere between 80 and 90 million didn't vote at all; I think because they were fed up with the whole damned system. I don't know anything about the new guy just elected but several people wanted Wickler, I hope this Martin guy is not another money grubber, billions of dollars cannot vote, people do.

We will have to see, But, many voted for the new guy because of his record of rehabilitating Minnesota Precincts.

He will be tested shortly as Minnesota will take some economic damage because of the bogus "trade war" including homebuilding (lumber) & other industries.

I was hoping they'd choose Wickler - I hope we didn't get another Merrick Garland instead of a Sally Yates.....Martin was quoted as saying the Dems will have to see why they lost the last election before they go after the administration in earnest - I hope that item was wrong/

Doesn't sound promising. If it's more of the same we might lose our democracy

Yep, a so-called “reality TV” business genius that hasn’t the vaguest idea how international trade relations work will make America great again in a pointless, stupid, entirely unnecessary trade war with the rest of the world…no way this can go south, right?

Well, I understand Canada has a much better aim by targeting Tesla. I will monitor Tesla's stock at the close tomorrow.

This targeting is on top of Tesla's recent earnings miss.

Would the crash of Tesla hurt the billionaire much ? Other than his ego. Looks like there is more than one Anti Christ - I'm losing count on how many are appearing.

Felon 47 is entirely too expensive. This crap is just that.

But this is worse "Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent gave representatives of the so-called Department of Government Efficiency access to the federal payment system late on Friday, according to five people familiar with the change, handing Elon Musk and the team he is leading a powerful tool to monitor and potentially limit government spending."

What can we do?

I'm nor sure, but if muck and company discontinue Social Security and Medicare payments I will sue. I worked more than 47 years paying into Medicare every paycheck and more than 72 quarters into Social Security full time and 12 quarters part time. Those are NOT government hand outs.

Somewhere in some state there may be a criminal statute that would allow Musk and his raiders to be arrested for grand theft should the trust funds be "stolen". Emailed our take-no-prisoners MI AG, Dana Nessel, asking about MI laws since we can't depend on the Kasket Patel to go against his economic superiors who break the federal law. Musk has his own security people, so the arrest itself would be "an incident."

Thank you, Judith. The more of us who contact out State and Federal Legislators the better. This is especially true in Arizona and Nevada, where the pendulum can swing either way. In California, I emailed by Federal Senators and Congressman and our Attorney General. I suppose I should email the Governor too, he's such a flake, he needs to know we only have his back if he stands against the oligarchy and dictatorial tyranny. Kamala Harris and Tim Walz should be emailed too.

They are sowing the wind..... First, 40% of our imported oil comes from Canada through the northern pipelines. Second, a considerable amount of electrical power for the northern tier states (Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, etc.) comes from Canada also. Canada could simply cut off those supplies and cause immense economic damage to our economy, or increase prices to pay for the US tariffs by subsidizing Canadian importers. A large percentage of lumber for the US housing market comes from Canada - and there are all those houses that burned in California. You can see easily where this sad charade is heading, and it is not a good place for America. The sonofabitch has already destroyed our credibility around the world - our word and treaties are no longer to be trusted anymore than Russia's, and that is a loss that will take generations to repair, even if it's possible.....

Elon is sowing the wind..... As has been reported, his presence is behind the valuation of Tesla, and what he us doing with the US government is violating a number of US federal laws, and many state statutes as well. At some point in the future (if we have one) Elon will face numerous charges for his mishandling of government and personal data, as will he teen-age "whiz kids" - and they do not have SCOTUS-granted blanket immunity..... If Elon goes to prison, the stock for Tesla and S[ace-X will crater, and so will the market.....

This is all sad and scary. But if Elon has truly hijacked our computer systems and particularly if the info has been uploaded to private servers, the price of tomatoes will mean little to those for whom government funding plays any part in their lives--which includes farmers and fossil fuel subsidies, anyone on social security, any company that has ANY connection to the public fisc. Y'know that road workers use to get to work? They will be cracked gravel by the end of winter. Y'know that flood control stuff that keeps your building from becoming an island? All gone.

Putin must be reeling from relentless orgasms as he watches his asset hand him one win after another. The big international realignment is being forced, and Russia and China are already dating, with China having already wooed South American and African nations with their heavy investments there. Our Pacific Rim allies that Biden organized may have to rethink their relationships with an inconstant lover, the US. (There's a primal level to everything, especially survival.)
