So succinctly put, with just the right amount of snark to go with my coffee and toast this lovely morning in Seattle Washington. 😻

When the government shuts down (I forsee no chance to keep it open at this point), every Democratic Senator and Representative should go back to their state and set out in easily manageable bits, EXACTLY why this is entirely the fault of the rethuglicans. They should also highlight how the good that's been done is now going to be undone by these moronic children. Hang the shutdown around their necks like a millstone, toss them in some water, and let them drown.

The poor addled worm of a Speaker double-crossed himself. The Democrats were willing to consider helping him put the Fweedumb Kawkus in its place by joining with the "moderate" Republicans to pass the Senate-approved budget items. Then Quiverin' Quevin called for the impeachment inquiry on Smokin' Joe, and the Democrats are now pretty much not interested in letting him in the lifeboat..... Rosencranz and Guildenstern are not as dead as Quiv's political career.....

Three things: 1) Kevin is looking more and more like the proverbial deer in the headlights - desperate and wide-eyed and clueless; and 2) The orange fat patootie hasn't figured out that a shutdown, if it affects one investigation, will affect another, and that includes his current target: Hunter; and 3) One Dem has already proposed a bill that if there's a shutdown, no member of Congress should be paid during it.

My bet is that Kevin is going to get hit eventually by some faster moving vehicle as he tries to navigate the freeway he's chosen for himself. If he doesn't stroke out first.

Democrats are attacked for negotiating with terrorists in Iran when they are expected to negotiate here with the terrorists who comprise the republican party.

One could ask McCarthy “Was it worth it to make a deal with the Devil?”, but I doubt that he could give a plausible answer. Boehner and Ryan tried to herd cats in the GOP madhouse in Congress and where did they end up? What made Kevin think that he could succeed where they failed? What a maroon…whatever he gets, he deserves, but the country will suffer for it.

I wonder if the GOP remembers it was their own Dick Armey, Gingrich and others who formed the Tea Party by enlisting the elderly and unemployed via bus rides and free lunches for holding demonstrations. The TP were the likely progenitors of this generation of political defectives. The TP couldn't get Boehner to self-medicate enough to keep himself on the job, and Ryan got a more lucrative corporate gig by engineering a huge tax break to the wealthy and corporations. It's a self-cannibalizing bunch of contrarians if ever I've seen one. And all the country will get is the toxic excrement they leave behind.

Couldn’t happen to a more deserving critter! Hopefully sooner rather than later!

We'll see what's going on behind Quivering's back in plain sight. This is going to be

a no win for the fascit clown caucus. Too many moderate

Republicans and Democrats

are not going for the "shut it

down" ride.

And top it off with this from McCarthy (via The Hill):

“Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) declined a request from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to address Congress Thursday, saying there was not enough time.

'Zelensky asked us for a joint session; we just didn’t have time,’ McCarthy told reporters on Capitol Hill, according to videos of the exchange.”

WE JUST DIDN’T HAVE TIME ???

What a slap in the face to the president of a country under attack from Russia as it fights for its, and ultimately, Europe’s and the U.S.’s freedom and democracy.

Tom, I appreciate greatly your break down of government machinations. Your fine editorial touch (and yeah, I like the apt monikers for the Usual Suspects) beats those of the NY Times and Washington Post writers who must pretend to dignify the Republican Clowns.

Take No Prisoners Cleaver!

I wonder who Fwanken Freddie Gaetz thinks would want to take McCarthy's place? MGT? Boebert with those silly new implants?

I was actually wondering about this, although it shames me to admit I was looking at her tits.

now, I feel slightly better in the knowledge that I was SUPPOSED to be looking at them. I wonder if she's given them names...I mean, like, they have so much PRESENCE, as opposed to their...what'd the word be? customer? guardian?? owner?? client??

and I'll bet anybody that when she was in junior high, people called her "Boobert," very possibly prompting her new purchase. I've spent enough time in junior high schools to know well what moral black holes they are.

That darned Nancy Pelosi made the job look so easy that McCarthy thought it would be a cakewalk with only a few stumbles here and there. The caucus that's not of this earth took him down by the ankles very early on, and we'll never see him on his feet again. And be afraid of any winger who wants to succeed him. Be very afraid.

Side Note: The House Majority could actually make Trump speaker. The rules allow for such a thing, and with the Odious Caucus that could happen.

Do they sell Tums by the crate?
