THE BEST THING ABOUT WRITING THAT'S ANOTHER FINE MESS

When I started That’s Another Fine Mess four years ago last summer, the one thing I absolutely, positively, totally, completely did not expect was who the readership would be.

I mean, how many women read military history and watch war movies, f’r chrissakes?

Little did I know.

The end result is that writing TAFM for an audience of women who keep me on my toes like you do is one of the best things that ever hppened to me as a writer.

And it’s never been better than this past two years, watching you all go through the highs and lows, ups and downs, of this political campaign.

Watching all of you stand to meet the moment, no matter how upset you were, and come to personify for me this irresistable force that has risen in opposition to the greatest threat the country has faced in 164 years, has been fantastic.

My two great-grandmothrs, both suffragettes, would be proud of you folks.

And now we’re on the verge of seeing the women of America save the country, because they know

WE’RE NOT GOING BACK!
