At the rate Kakistocracy II has kicked into high gear over this past month, we’d best get ourselves into high gear in response and opposition.

Fortunat4ely, it appears everyone else is as exhausted by this summer’s ravings from Kakistocracy II as I am, and so the news is (finally!) light on a Sunday. Hopefully even lighter tomorrow, but remember there are Labor Day demonstrations around the country. Meanwhile, a coalition of mostly-blue states led by Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey is planning to coordinate on the purchase and distribution of pediatric vaccines, should the federal government restrict access to them, according to a source familiar with ongoing discussions. This will likely include big states like New York and Pennsylvania.” Also California. We may yet end up with secession in all but name and specific action.

Saturday morning, the Chief Kakistocrat taunted Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, saying “we’re coming.” He has already said he plans to send troops to Chicago to storm the streets and help the city, as he says, clean up the ongoing crime problem. During his nightly Adderall overdose, he managed to spew from the Golden Shitter onto Lies Anti-Social, saying: "Six people were killed, and 24 people were shot, in Chicago last weekend, and JB Pritzker, the weak and pathetic Governor of Illinois, just said that he doesn’t need help in preventing CRIME. He is CRAZY!!! He better straighten it out, FAST, or we’re coming! MAGA. President DJT" He added - without providing any statistics: "DC is virtually, in just 14 days, a CRIME FREE ZONE. The people living and working there are ecstatic!!!" Which can safely be filed under both Bull and Shit. In fact, DC had it’s longer no-murders record back in January - before Enshittification Day - with 16 days. Two days after the Kakistocrats fell all over themselves with self-congratulations for “11 days without a murder aren’t we great?” their record fell at 13 when two people were murdered last weekend n D.C., something none of them are mentioning.

The 12 high-ranking Department of Justice attorneys who were reassigned to the DOJ's Sanctuary Cities Enforcement working group have all quit as of Friday evening. At the time of the reassignment they were told to either accept the move or resign and, as of this week, the last attorney who accepted the move has now quit. The Post reported: “Six months later, all of those attorneys have left DOJ for good, the last one packing up this week. And five people familiar with the working group say they got the impression that the task force was designed to do nothing but frustrate and eventually force out lawyers the administration felt it could replace with people more loyal to the president.” The report notes that little legal work was being done with career attorneys assigned to “...do Google-type searches and other menial research on those sanctuary policies - and were told there was no need to communicate with the lawyers who were actually filing high-profile lawsuits against such jurisdictions as Los Angeles, New York and Denver.” Bonnie Robin-Vergeer, the former chief of the Civil Rights Division’s appellate section quit after six weeks, telling the Post, “The assignment was a sham. We did very little.” According to Stacey Young, president and founder of Justice Connection, the move was done in such a way as to avoid scrutiny and scandal. “The administration identified seasoned and proven leaders they wanted out of the way - officials they probably believed would stymie their political goals, or simply insist on following the law and upholding institutional norms. Firing them outright likely would’ve resulted in lawsuits and fanfare they wanted to avoid. To pretend that her death deserves the same recognition as the. young soldier at the gate is obscene. It is a betrayal of the oath she once swore and a desecration of the sacrifice made by so many who kept faith with theirs.” The Chief Traitor called the Capitol Police officer who shot Babbitt while she was attempting to assault the congress coming into the chamber through a broken window – Lt. Michael Byrd – a “thug.” In fact, had the other MAGAt traitor morons not stupidly surrounded her as they did, the worthless piece of shit would have been rescued by the police (who tried) and likely survived.

This morning, Ilinois Governor JB Pritzker went on Face The Nation. Asked if he would redraw the congressional map in Illinois, and he answered, “That's not something that I want to do. It's not something that any of us want to do. But I have to say if Donald Trump is going to force his will on the American people by going to his MAGA allies in various states and have them redraw in the middle of a decade when you're supposed to be doing it right after a census. With a year ending in one, not a year ending in five. If he's gonna do that all over the country, I think all of us have to think about what it is that we can do to counter that.” He was asked, “What much more could you do though, as an Illinois Democrat? Your map already gets an F for most good government groups for being gerrymandered. Would you wipe out all the Republican districts?” Pritzker said, “Yeah. It is possible to have more Democratic districts in the state of Illinois and we could do it. Like I said, it's not something that I want to do.”
