I'm afraid I'll be wrong, but I think the GOP made a huge mistake in going all in on banning abortion. I have the feeling that Americans who aren't crazy extremists may be beginning to understand that the Republicans need to be stopped. Maybe it's wishful thinking.
I think Republicans have only understood abortion ban was not their way to power. So now they are pretending to be softer, without realizing their institutionalized cruelty.
