For those who may wonder whether Real Talent has a sell-by date, Mr. Willie Nelson has some good advice from his most recent album (#98!), released six weeks before he turned 90. The article in the New York Times magazine, “Willie Nelson’s Long Encore,” is great. Phillip Montgomery’s black and white photography accompanying it is worth the click all by itself.
Sometimes, a song is passed on to me that I was meant to listen to. Because it’s part of me. I cried with joy listening to “Energy Follows Thought” on this rainy day.

You are almost as cute as Grayden. I love the family pictures...and of your very handsome dog. You two do not look alike. How is Tanya? I follow what's going on in the Ukraine. My dear husband, Mark, died in October, 2018. He was born is Odessa. The family left Ukraine when he was a few months old. There hasn't been any family in the country for more than ninety years. There was practically no talk about Odessa. This in not the time and place to go into any more detail, but I wanted to give you sense of my strong attachment to your country. On the other hand, given my predisposition, I would probably feel the same about Ukraine if there was no personal association to the country. Your blog brings me close to you, your family and Ukraine. Thank you Allen. I'll share a few thoughts about the USA when we make contact again.

I agree. Grayden looks more like Mishel's son at the same age. You should be able to comment as anonymous if you include your name then I will know who. Tanya is doing OK. Lucky is glad she is home. So far our community is safe. But the carnage in Ukraine is so sad.
I had read the article. Willie is a great talent and hard worker. Must say I terribly miss Merle, the Possum, Waylon, Conway and so many more. Thank god we hav a younger Vince taking up the slack.
