You go TC! Excellent "Mess".

We need to scream this stuff from the roof tops. How quickly we forget. Anyone remember what life was like mid-Covid and we had a President doing everything humanly possible to confront the disease with vaccines and testing? Yes, DJT, when you test, the numbers go up. When we were receiving checks to help us during a plague? I'll take Bidens stumbling speech and mature, learned leadership anytime.

As to 2024, why is that even a discussion in the summer of 2022? We need to win this year's contest - all eyes on the prizes, please.

The great talent of TFG is to take the oxygen out of the room. Let's put it back in. By talking up the good stuff and letting justice take it's course.

I was listening to "Politics Monday" on the Newshour last night. Amy Walter made the point that the more TFG is in the news, the more worried Republicans are. Bad junk about TFG "helps Democrats" she said.

There is only one person who should be concerned about whether Biden should run in 2024. That is Joe Biden. I trust he will make the right decision for the country - because that is the kind of person he is. He is about the work and not the person. He left the inauguration to go to work. And work he did.

Joe Biden is not perfect, but he has worked hard for ordinary Americans against TREMENDOUS odds, and more often than not has succeeded. I am sick and tired of performative politicians like Boebert, Green, and Cruz, who think our national political life is a reality TV show. Don’t get me started on the hateful R’s in the NC General Assembly. Biden is getting things FOR the good of ordinary people, not the billionaire robber barons. He is a decent person who treats others with respect. He is a person of good character that the founders thought should be president, not a career criminal.

saying what needs to be said, Tom. and you'll keep it up!

what I wanted to post for everyone is an excellent story in the very latest issue of Mother Jones. it's about Bandy Lee. she's the Yale psychiatrist who edited the book that came out in 2018 in which 28 psychiatrists exercised their "duty to warn" by writing essays about how dangerous TFF was. she was "canceled" by a bunch of colleagues who kept invoking the so-called "Goldwater Rule" about not diagnosing people without having interviewed those people. it turns out that she's not just a random shrink who votes for Democrats, but is actually one of the foremost experts in the country on the phenomenology of violence. and she maintained at the time (and still maintains) that she was offering no diagnosis as such but was basing her concerns on TFF's BEHAVIOR. the article needs to be read.

one interesting point raised in the article (a VERY interesting point) is that when she did a meta-analysis of violence in the US since 1900, there was significantly more violent behavior during Republican administrations....

I checked the site and it turns out that the issue I received in yesterday's mail isn't on the site yet. I'll post it as soon as it's available.

Same here. I have it handy to read later today after I go select paint samples and door/drawer pulls for rebuild of kitchen cabinets below and to the left of the sink following a water leak under the sink in early July.

Damage was limited because I am blessed with excellent neighbors, one of whom decided to collect her mail a bit before 10 pm and noticed water dripping rapidly from the stucco above my garage door and just below the kitchen sink (I live in a townhouse condo). Flex hose to cold water faucet sprang a leak. I had already gotten into bed with my book when she called me.

I figured. I checked too. Interesting magazine.

He’s Grandpa Joe!

And grandparents tend to ROCK THE HOUSE because they’re wise and have been through a lot of BS in their lives.

Also, thank you to the House and Senate Dems/Independents for passing this legislation!!

I needed this optimistic perspective. Thank you, TC.

Now THAT is my kind of sizzlin’, TC. Just poppin’ and spittin’ on the griddle.

And is it my imagination, or has President Biden even looked brighter and taller at the podium as of late? Maybe because each piece of breathtaking legislation makes me feel a little brighter and taller on my soapbox. I know my hair is tossing and my chin is constantly lifting during canvassing convos. It’s on.

Happy to read this! I don’t have anything meaningful to say. I just wanted to be publicly appreciative.

And now to the hard work of the November elections….

Way to go, TC❣️

“At the very least, Democrats now have a viable message heading into the election. It may not be enough to hold onto the House, but it is not time to make predictions, when every new poll shows the Republican advantage diminishing and the Democratic position growing stronger. Democratic Senate candidates in Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Nevada and New Hampshire are looking good at the moment. Ohio and Wisconsin are also in play, and possibly even North Carolina.”

YESSSSSSS!!!!!

JenSH wrote what is on my mind.

It seems to me that when reality TV became a "thing," it latched on to people who don't operate with a full deck of cards. (She didn't say this - this is me saying this.) So, when the king of reality TV ran for office, these fools signed up for the joy ride of their lives and the cult of the criminal became a real thing in politics. Our President Biden, the mature man with the work ethic bar none, droll humor that annoys some people, loyalty for family, life, and country - our duly elected, competent, qualified, experienced and presidential president - is just not exciting enough for these trolls. And sadly, MSM accommodates their thirst for drama by incessantly focusing on the WORST person possible whose only attributes, if they can be called that, include grifting, lying, cheating, stealing and destroying everything he touches...including lives.

Robert Hubble has a good newsletter today. He talks about the Inflation Reduction Act and Liz Cheney. It’s ties in beautifully with TC’s observations.
