I totally agree Tom, The empty heads (who may not be confined the the Republicans and former Republicans) does not help. I wish there was an exam that all potential candidates for elective office at any level had to take that proved they had at least a senior high ability to think critically, analyze, and research. Maybe even know the thre3e branches of government and the lawful duties of the office for which they are a candidate.
I'm sadly certain that if any of the GOP screaming heads who are joining the scrum to condemn Biden were apprised of this slice of Reagan history, they would either disbelieve or ignore it.
Thanks for this slice of history, TC. It seems like today's Klown Kar Kawkus would turn on St. Ronnie if they could read what you wrote. I strongly doubt they would change their perspective.
Interesting to be reminded of what St. Reagan's position on offensive weapons was. The idea that Biden is trying to "run" Israel's policies is beyond dumb. He has NOT said "go into Rafah and all aid is cancelled." He is saying "go into Rafah and pay for it yourself. Raise your own taxes to pay for offensive weapons." Basically, if a president (who decides foreign policy) determines that the behavior of an ally isn't likely to solve that ally's problem he is perfectly capable of saying we don't have to finance it. And on whether killing off every last Hamas member will solve anything, read Haaretz, that apparently by GOP definition hotbed of antisemitic Israelis.
*edit* That the majority of the tens of thousands of graves (so far) on this occaision contain the remains of women and children will lead to the traumatisation of an entire generation of survivors, including those IDF forces who used the weapons against innocents. They also have to live with the memories of what they have done, may those thoughts torment them every waking and sleeping moment for the rest of their lives.

Excellent history lesson! Hypocrisy is the motto of the magas!

The magas are like Zeus/Trump's Harpies, taking flight to screech hysterically in order to please their god. Two words for them: Grow up.

As has been said 1000s of times before; If you don't remember history, you are doomed to repeat it...
OK, but 1981 is ancient history in U.S. politics. <g> Not in Middle Eastern politics, however.
