A week ago today, the bipartisan committee investigating the January 6 insurrection asked telecommunication companies to preserve phone records from a number of Trump-supporting GOP House members who spoke at the "Stop the Steal" rally, asking them to preserve records for Trump and his family members as well.
One of the best moments this summer was Speaker Queen Nancy Pelosi was getting into her car and replying to a question about McCarthy by calling him a moron. And then he’s got Liz Cruella Cheney and her boy Adam Kinzinger with the Select Bunch ready to pants him so he will trip over Orc Jordan as he lurches out of the questioning chamber.
What a set up. The dog may have caught the car, but there’s still a few skilled drivers that will knock the cur senseless.
And Senators Sanders and “will the Real Liz stand up” Warren and Amy Klobuchar and our Veep Kamala Harris? MmmHmmm. I think they’ve got the lamp and their timing right. Just quite a tedious wait these past months waiting for that giant to be stirred from his slumber. Came down to the fury of women plus their egregious use of children in school for political gain.

I think we have already had that "disastrous day," and more, in the 2016 election of a conscienceless bully as President. The damage is immeasurable and, for 600,00 souls, fatal. Mc Carthy is like the lingering bad smell from a dump that already happened. But you are right, if we light a match to it there is still enough methane to completely blow up what is left.
McCarthy taking the position in 2022 means that it would be inevitable that Trump would return to the White House with the 2024 election, since McCarthy's House GOP would do what wasn't done in 2021 - throw the election, regardless of the popular or Electoral College vote, into the House of Representatives where the Republican state delegation majorities would insure Trump's installation. That is what I mean that this would be the darkest day, since there would not be any legal way of changing that. The result would be civil war. And if that happens again, it will be a civil war like what has happened in Lebanon and Syria, not what happened here 160 years ago.
You know, I never really understood ex-pats but I do now. I cannot live here if this scenario comes to life. It is hard enough living in Florida but more years of TFG as Pres would absolutely do me in. Thank you for your posts.
And he is so busy trying to be Speaker of the House that he has done Nothing for the area of CA that he is supposed to be representing in the House or any of their problems. Trump doesn't live in Central CA.
