POKING AROUND TWO DAYS BEFORE NO KINGS DAY
Today is Day 143 of the failing attempted fascist coup against America. There are 510 days to the mid terms.
The technical term for the latest Quinnipiac poll on TACO is This Is Really A Terrible Shitstorm. How much do Americans hate TACO? According to the Quinnipiac poll released on Tuesday, this much: both Trump and his policies are underwater.
On the way TACO is handling the job of president, 38% of registered voters approve while 54% disapprove. HHS Secretary The Wrong RFK Got Shot has 38% approval versus 53% disapproval. SECDRUNK has 37% approval to 46% disapproval. Elmo got a 38% approval to 57% saying he was either “not so good” or “poor.”
TACO’S handling of major issues is also a big bust.
Immigration has 43% approval to 54% disapproval; deportations 40% approval to 56% disapproval; the economy 40% approval to 56% disapproval; trade 38% approval to 57% disapproval; universities 37% approval to 54% disapproval; the Israel-Hamas conflict 35% approval to 52% disapproval; the Russia-Ukraine war 34% approval to 57% disapproval.
The budget reconciliation bill Republicans have dubbed the “One Big, Beautiful Bill” (and Democrats have called the “Big, Beautiful Betrayal”) is disliked 53% to 27%. Only 10% of registered voters believe the federal funding for Medicaid should decrease.
Surprise surprise, “the dumbest fucking student who ever walked in my classroom” continues to be a D Student.
For those wondering what 4,000 California National Guard troops would be doing in a situation where only 300 have been put to use in Los Angeles, the answer is that they are now supporting the ICE assault on California Agriculture. Let’s consider before going further, that a recent poll released yesterday that was taken during the immigration protests, has 85% of Americans oposed to deporting migrants with jobs. California agriculture is responsible for 25% of the food consumed in the United States. Right now, if you like strawberries, you had best get them while you can. This week is the middle of the strawberry harvest, and ICE has targeted Ventura County, which provides 40% of California strawberries. Workers are not showing up since the invasion began yesterday, and the crop is rotting in the fields. There isn’t one “illegal immigrant gang banger” among the thousands of people who work the fields in this state. What we’re seeing is more of Stephen Miller’s assault on America - he ordered ICE to forget going after actual lawbreakers and to concentrate on places like Seven-Elevens, Home Depots, and other places where non-criminal migrants gather to find work. We can now add the strawberry fields of California. Yes, the annoying little high school schmuck should have been locked in a seabag and thrown off the Santa Monica Pier in a winter storm. It’s still a good idea for dealing with this self-hating Jew who’s much happier as the Reincarnation of Reinhard Heydrich, or perhaps now Adolf Eichmann.
Sebastian says “Do you really have to wake me before it’s over?”
But we can take the following as good news for our side:
The June 14 Washington military parade may be relegated to news coverage on the streaming arms of the major TV networks. TACO has promised an “amazing day” with “tanks...planes...all sorts of things” taking over the streets of Washington. The parade, with an estimated cost of up to $45 million according to military officials, also coincides with TACO’s 79th birthday. Despite the hard sell from TACOt, TV networks are scrambling to figure out how much of the event they will cover on traditional live TV and how much will go straight to their streaming arms. Sources close to ABC News, NBC News and CBS News told Variety the networks would be unlikely to change their traditional sports-based Saturday night programming to cover the parade. ABC News will “cover the parade across programs and platforms” including their 24/7 streaming news channel. The network has the UFL championship game airing in primetime on Saturday night. NBC airing the U.S Open Golf when the parade is happening. For those who gotta see it, Faux Snooze Channel is devoting four hours of continuous coverage without commercial breaks to Dear Leaders Birfday Party. Fox’s main channel is airing Major League Baseball Saturday night. NewsNation promised dedicated coverage, including performances from the Army drill team and first views of the military vehicles being flown in for the parade. Among the 50 GOP lawmakers surveyed by POLITICO, only seven said they planned to stay in Washington this weekend for the festivities. Those begging off include members of the Republican leadership in both chambers, including the chairs of the House and Senate Armed Services committees.
The Best Possible News regarding the Birfday Boyz parade - that I have been hoping for since the damned thing was first announced - has come true: As of Wednesday, the National Weather Service has predicted that there is a 60 percent chance it will rain Saturday after 2 p.m. with a probability of thunderstorms after 7:00pm, potentially foiling TACO’s parade itinerary. Since the parade is scheduled to start at 6:30pm, there’s a great likelihood of a Big Mess. The forecast: “Showers likely before 8pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 8pm and 2am, then a chance of showers after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. Chance of precipitation is 60%.” Depending on the severity of the weather, certain events, such as the Army’s Golden Knights parachute jump and fireworks at the end of the night, could be canceled.
The Golden Knights Parachute Team is currently set to parachute into the Ellipse, where a concert will be held following the parade, and present TACO with a U.S. flag. Unfavorable weather conditions could also affect public transportation and result in lower turnout than expected. As always, bad news for TACO is Good News for America.
This is also good news for our side: Proof the Big Beautiful Bill is not going anywhere: Senate Republicans appear less likely to try to make changes to Medicare Advantage as part of their massive tax and spending bill, Sen. Kevin Cramer said Wednesday. “I don’t think there’s a stomach for it. I think that the president doesn’t want to touch Medicare,” Cramer said. Thune can’t hold any votes on the bill in the Senate because he doesn’t have any certain majorities to vote in favor of any part of the bill. However, the Senate Republicans - none of whom come from a high-tax SALT state - do want to cut the House’s cafrefully-negotiated $40,000 SALT cap, with the rumored goal being a cap of $30,000. The House Republicans in the SALT Caucus have sworn to vote against any lower number than the $40k. Any Senate changes would have to be approved by the House.
Also this: The entire 12-person board that manages the Fulbright scholarship program quit Wednesday, accusing the Trump administration of illegal political interference. The group oversee the 80-year-old program designed to both fund American students’ and academics’ foreign exchanges and to bring talented foreign scholars, students and artists to the U.S. It is ultimately overseen by Marco Rubio’s State Department but is legally supposed to be independent. The board accused Maladministration II of “unprecedented actions that we believe are impermissible under the law, compromise U.S. national interests and integrity, and undermine the mission and mandates Congress established for the Fulbright program nearly 80 years ago.” Political appointees at the State Department, whose budget funds the program, canceled 200 scholarships awarded to American researchers for projects abroad. In most cases, Maladministration II took issue with the projects’ topics. Approximately 1,200 scholarships awarded to foreign nationals to conduct research in the United States are also under review.
And this: According to the Quinnipiac Poll released yesterday: Nearly half of voters (47 percent) think federal funding for Medicaid should increase, 40 percent think it should stay about the same, and 10 percent think federal funding for Medicaid should decrease. Among Republicans, 21 percent think federal funding for Medicaid should increase, 56 percent think it should stay about the same, and only 18 percent think it should decrease. Among Democrats, 69 percent think federal funding for Medicaid should increase, 27 percent think it should stay about the same, and 2 percent think it should decrease. Among independents, 47 percent think federal funding for Medicaid should increase, 39 percent think it should stay about the same, and 11 percent think it should decrease. Only 10% of Americans want to cut Medicaid, and 77% of Republicans think that Medicaid should either stay the same or increase. Just 18% of Republicans support Medicaid cuts.
And then there’s this from Montana: The Montana Supreme Court ruled 6-1 on Monday that a trio of abortion restrictions passed by Republican lawmakers in 2021 were unconstitutional, concluding a yearslong legal challenge brought by health care providers and reproductive rights supporters. In the majority opinion, penned by Justice Beth Baker, the court said that protections for procreative autonomy, including pre-viability abortions, are included within the state’s right to privacy, which the justices said was construed broadly by delegates during the state’s 1972 Constitutional Convention. “The government, whether through the Legislature or the courts, has no role in proclaiming when a fetus is viable over the judgment of a medical provider working with an individual to make private, autonomous decisions about their own health. A fixed gestational age that does not allow a provider’s case-specific determination fails to ensure that the government does not interfere with an individual’s private medical decisions,” the court wrote. “Until a fetus is viable and able to survive outside the womb, the right of personal autonomy belongs to the person on whose body the fetus depends,” the court found. “In contrast, we find no legal authority for the idea that the State’s interest in preserving fetal life, or the fetus’s right to life, takes precedence over all constitutional protections and dignities of the mother.”
Military.com has more reporting about the illegal activities by TACO during his appearance at Fort Bragg on Tuesday: “Internal 82nd Airborne Division communications reviewed by Military.com reveal a tightly orchestrated effort to curate the optics of Trump's recent visit, including handpicking soldiers for the audience based on political leanings and physical appearance. The troops ultimately selected to be behind Trump and visible to the cameras were almost exclusively male.” Also “‘If soldiers have political views that are in opposition to the current administration and they don't want to be in the audience then they need to speak with their leadership and get swapped out,’ another note to troops said.” One commander at Fort Bragg told Military.com on the condition of anonymity to avoid retaliation: "This has been a bad week for the Army for anyone who cares about us being a neutral institution. This was shameful. I don't expect anything to come out of it, but I hope maybe we can learn from it long term." Adding to the spectacle, a pop-up shop operated by 365 Campaign, a Tulsa, Oklahoma-based retailer that sells pro-Trump and other conservative-coded memorabilia, was set up on-site with campaign-style merchandise on Army property. Soldiers were seen purchasing clothing and tchotchkes, including "Make America Great Again" chain necklaces to faux credit cards labeled "White Privilege Card: Trumps Everything." An 82nd Airborne NCO said, “I bet none of those soldiers booing even know the mayor’s name or could identify them in a lineup; they’re nonexistent in the chain of command. So, any opinion they could possibly have can only be attributed to expressing a political view while in uniform.”
This from Military.com is even more dangerous: Active-duty Marines deployed to the Los Angeles area to protect federal buildings and personnel amid protests there are authorized to temporarily detain people "if threatened" or "otherwise harassed" before turning them over to civilian law enforcement, according to two defense officials. The infantry unit, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines was not trained in the use of non-lethal force and crowd control prior to being put on deployment notice, but the unit is currently doing a 20 hour training course on how to deal with crowd control at Camp Pendelton. The Standing Rules for Use of Force (SRUF) for the L.A. deployment prohibits warning shots, but authorizes self-defense, a defense official said, though the specific parameters for self-defense and other conditions within the guidance remain unclear.
MSNBC reported that TACO’s Gestapo will also be invading Chicago, New York, Washington D.C., Seattle and Philadelphia soon. Faux Snooze is broadcasting footage of the Marines training how to attack their fellow citizens in Los Angeles.
This is soooo unsurprising. On June 10, the god-bothering bible-bangers at the Southern Baptist Convention passed a resolution to reverse Obergefell v. Hodges as the historic Supreme Court decision legalizing same-sex marriage approaches its 10-year anniversary. Among other things, the resolution affirms there are only two genders, defines marriage as between a man and a woman, says families are designed for procreation and that human life is sacred “from conception to natural death.” The resolution also opposes commercial surrogacy. Well-known far right fundamentalist moron Denny Burk - president of Louisville-based Council for Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, an advocacy group that was behind evangelical statements opposing LGBTQ+ rights - proposed the language in the resolution. God-bothering bible-bangers unite!
Maladministration II is reportedly preparing to send thousands of illegal immigrants to the military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, as soon as this week, marking a rapid escalation of the president’s mass deportation agenda which could target hundreds of people from European allied countries. Immigration officials are considering whether to transfer as many as 9,000 foreign nationals, including people from the United Kingdom as well as Ireland, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Poland, Turkey and Ukraine. Officials are not expected to inform their home countries about their imminent transfers to the notorious facility. Most European allies accept deportees from the United States to their home countries, making it unclear why Maladministration II would first force them into a detention camp roundly condemned by international human rights groups (I will refer them to the fact that “the cruelty is the point”)
Elon Musk crawled back to Dear Leader. The billionaire, eager to make amends, called Trump late Monday night, three people briefed on the call told The New York Times. Their conversation culminated in Musk posting his groveling retraction on X Wednesday: “I regret some of my posts about President Donald Trump last week. They went too far,” Musk wrote. Advisers on both sides worked behind the scenes to broker a truce, despite Trump’s public declaration that he has no interest in reviving his relationship with the world’s richest man. Before reaching out to Trump, Musk held talks with Vice President JD Vance and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles on Friday, according to the report. The first public sign that he was trying to smooth things over and restore his alliance with the president came on Sunday, when Musk reposted Trump’s Truth Social posts about the L.A. protests.
Trump, who threatened to end government contracts for Musk’s companies, was asked if he could reconcile with Musk. “I guess I could,” Trump said in a podcast interview. “But you know, we have to straighten out the country. Yeah, and my sole function now is getting this country back to a level higher than it’s ever been.” Trump said he was mostly upset at Musk for trying to sink his “big, beautiful bill.” Musk has been raging at the levels of spending and debt in the Trump agenda bill ever since his time at the White House leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) came to an end. “I have no hard feelings,” Trump told the New York Post’s Miranda Devine. (And I have shares in a can’t-miss pump-and-dump scam you can’t resist)
The next members of an influential federal vaccine policy advisory committee will be “highly credentialed physicians and scientists” and not “ideological anti-vaxxers,” HHS Secretary The Wrong RFK Got Shot said late Tuesday. “None of these individuals will be ideological anti-vaxxers. They will be highly credentialed physicians and scientists who will make extremely consequential public health determinations by applying evidence-based decision-making with objectivity and common sense.” And then, on Wednesday, the members were announced - all “vaccine skeptics.” They are: Joseph R. Hibbeln, Martin Kulldorff, Retsef Levi, Robert W. Malone, Cody Meissner, James Pagano, Vicky Pebsworth and Michael A. Ross. Malone, who claims to be the inventor of mRNA vaccines despite what those who’ve worked with him say, promoted the use of hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin for treating the coronavirus, and repeatedly claimed the COVID shots did not work. Kulldorff was one the leading authors of the Great Barrington Declaration, which pushed the argument of “herd immunity,” along with Cody Meissner and current NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya. Pebsworth is associated with a website that was among the primary promoters of false and dis-information during the pandemic.

Another comment: with the greatest respect for any readers with native American heritage--if you of a successful raindance, could you please perform it for us so it POURS on the parade? Any pagans here, can you cast a spell? I am a Christian, so I will pray, and for the heck of it, I'll cross my fingers, too.
Hmm....Trump couldn't face the rain in France. Can he stand having his makeup run and hair mussed for our Army's anniversary?
Sebastian and Sweetie have the right idea…if only!
