“Those who want respect, give respect.” - Tony Soprano in The Sopranos, Season 2, Episode 12
There are 612 days to the mid terms and 13 days till the GOP drives the government off the cliff. The MAGA Congress will be swept from office in 671 days
The name “Dilbert” will no longer be used here to identify the current occupant of the White House. His true name, “Krasnov”, the name his case officer gave him when he became a traitor to America, will now be used. His existence proves that America is not the indispensable nation.
However, what were once recognized as American Values are what is indispensable; they are alive and well across the world, including here in the United States. They are: Freedom of speech; Freedom of worship; Freedom from want; Freedom from fear. We won a war against the political ancestors of those we fight now, fighting for what the last truly great American President - Franklin Delano Roosevelt - called The Four Freedoms.
From the Department of Jeff Bezos Can Fuck Himself In His Face: On Wednesday February 26, Washington Post owner and billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, announced that he would radically overhaul the paper's opinion pages to reflect libertarian priorities and to exclude opposing points of view. As of Friday February 28, 75,000 digital subscribers had canceled their subscriptions in the past 48 hours, including Yours Truly, who had resubscribed on Friday, February 21 because of good opinion pieces appearing once again in the paper, recanceling for a second time, and putting the Washington Post on permanent block in my email. When Bezos canceled an editorial favoring the election of Kamala Harris back in November, the Post lost over 300,000 digital subscribers. The Post has aggressively wooed new subscribers to replace them, boosting circulation by 400,000, often at highly discounted rates, giving away subscriptions for less than a dollar a month which meant most of these subscribers were not a “net plus” on the income spreadsheets. There is broad consensus inside the Post that without Bezos' decisions, the paper would be up hundreds of thousands of paying subscribers from where it was before the election. Instead, the numbers indicate a net loss of a couple hundred thousand subscribers. When CBS’ Gayle King announced on Friday that she would fly into space aboard a Blue Origin rocket with Katy Perry and Bezos’ squeeze Lauren Sánchez and other female celebrities in the latest Bezos PR stunt flight, she got hit with responses to her post noting that it’s against the rules for third parties to pay for anything that affects news division employees, much less participate as a CBS representative in a PR stunt like this. It is quaint now to think that many in the media thought that billionaires buying up newspapers would save the industry. Billionaires were only interested in the media platforms to push their own agenda.
From the Department of Marjorie Traitor Goon Has The Worst Taste In Boyfriends: After the Friday morning explosive and historic confrontation between Krasnov and his stooge Vance and Zelenskyy in the Oval Office (the technical term is Shitshow), Brian Glenn, a reporter from the pro-Trump Real America’s Voice—and Marjorie Traitor Goon’s boyfriend—used everyone’s valuable time at a historic moment to ask Ukraine’s leader why he never wears a suit. “A lot of Americans have problems with you not respecting the dignity of this office,” Glenn said. Zelenskyy told Glenn he would wear “a costume,” maybe “something like yours, maybe something better,” after the war was over. Glenn was too stupid to realize he’d just been publicly owned, but then what else would you expect from someone who thinks having sex with an actual inbred Southern female gargoyle is a good idea?
From the Department of The Great Surrender Continues: Maladministration II has publicly and privately signaled that it does not believe Russia represents a cyber threat against US national security or critical infrastructure, marking a radical departure from longstanding intelligence assessments. The shift in policy could make the US vulnerable to hacking attacks by Russia, experts warned, and appeared to reflect the warming of relations between Krasnov and Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin. Two recent incidents indicate the US is no longer characterizing Russia as a cyber security threat. Liesyl Franz, deputy assistant secretary for international cybersecurity at the state department, said in a speech last week before a United Nations working group on cyber security that the US was concerned by threats perpetrated by some states but only named China and Iran, with no mention of Russia. Franz did not mention the Russia-based LockBit ransomware group, which the US has previously said is the most prolific ransomware group in the world. The treasury last year said LockBit operates on a ransomeware-as-service model, in which the group licenses its ransomware software to criminals in exchange for a portion of the paid ransoms. Representatives for US allies in the EU and UK focused their remarks on the threat posed by Moscow, with the UK pointing out Russia was using offensive and malicious cyber attacks against Ukraine. A memo Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) set out new priorities; analysts were verbally informed they were not to follow or report on Russian threats, even though this had previously been a main focus for CISA. MaladministrationII has reassigned officials at CISA who were focused on safeguarding elections from cyberattacks and other attempts to disrupt voting.
From the Department of What Is The Price Of A Soul?: Defying international outcry over the terrible event in the Oval Office on Friday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio blamed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for the fracas that erupted. Later that afternoon, Widdle Marco went to speak with Kaitlin Collins on CNN’s The Source, where he said that Zelensky should “apologize for turning this thing into the fiasco for him that it became. There was no need for him to go in there and become antagonistic,” Rubio said, suggesting the meeting had “gone off the rails” because Zelenskyy had suggested the United States couldn’t trust Putin’s word. “President Krasnov’s made deals his entire life. He’s not gonna get suckered into some deal that’s not a real deal. If there’s a chance of peace, even if it’s a one percent chance, that needs to be explored, and that’s what President Krasnov is trying to do here.” If you want to see what a man looks like when he realizes he sold his soul to the enemy and will burn in hell for eternity for having done so, look no further...
From the Department of The Cruelty Is The Point: The San Francisco Chronicle reports the International Pride Orchestra says it was “disinvited” from presenting a summer Pride Celebration Concert at the Kennedy Center the same day Krasnov fired the board and took it over. Orchestra Director Roest: “We were heartbroken when we learned that our concert would no longer be welcome at the Kennedy Center.” Orchestra Conductor Christine Brandes: “Sadly, this is not surprising, but is in itself profoundly un-American and therefore disheartening. His actions further embolden us in our purpose.”
From the Department of You Shouldn’t Be Surprised By This: ProPublica reports that MAGA Mike Johnson has been living in the $3.7 million DC home of evangelical pastor Steve Berger, who has attacked the separation of church and state as “a delusional lie.” Berger has said it is his mission to minister to members of Congress so that what “they learn is then translated into policy.” Berger also opposes homosexuality, watching pornography, and same-sex marriage, saying it “opens the door to all manner of sexual depravity and wickedness.” MAGA Mike has apparently been living there since January.
From the Department of MAGA Mike Can’t Accomplish Jack Shit: Krasnov and the House Republicans have thrown the towel and given up on their attempt to pass a budget reconciliation bill before the March 14 deadline. It looks like they are headed to another Continuing Resolution (CR) just as they have had to do for the last 2.5 years because they are incapable of passing their own budget.Krasnov and MAGA Mike are now saying they want a CR passed to fund the government with Pelosi’s budget until Sept 2025. They’re going to have fun doing that while depending on GOP votes only, since Democrats will not support their moves to put many DOGE changes in the CR. Odds of going over the cliff are rising in favor of it happening.
From the Department of this Is How Krasnov’s Intimidation works: Puck reported Rep. Victoria Spartz, who vowed she would “never” vote for MAGAS Mike’s budget framework, changed her mind hours later after Krasnov intimidated her. He called her after the vote was cancelled; people nearby said they could hear him screaming at her from her phone, telling her she was a “fake Republican” who was “derailing his agenda.” When she emerged from the cloakroom where she took the phone call, MAGA Mike was waiting for her. He patted her back and said: “You know what you have to do.” Asked later by reporters why she suddenly changed her mind, she said she had a “great conversation” with Krasnov, who was “on board to get some great things done on health care.” Riiiight.
FWIW, here is what passes for good news today:
From the Department of This Is What You Say In The Face Of Treason: The EU’s Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas said: “the free world needs a new leader.” German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said: “Germany together with our European allies stands united alongside Ukraine—and against the Russian aggression.” French President Emmanuel Macron said: “I think we were all right to help Ukraine and sanction Russia three years ago and to continue to do so.”
From the Department of Stop Buying Swasticars: Bloomberg reports that shares of Tesla are down 40% in just the last few months. The stock was down 17% just this week alone. Elmo is still the richest man in the world, but he’s 40% less rich.
From the Department of Kill More Of These Traitors: Pardoned J6 defendant Matthew Huttle was shot and killed by a police officer in Indiana after he resisted arrest, ran to his car, and said he was going to shoot himself. A physical struggle ensued and Huttle was shot by the officer. He had a loaded pistol in his car.
From the Department of This Is Really Good News: Planned protests of Corporal Couchfucker forced him to cancel his original hotel booking for a ski trip in Vermont this weekend. Multiple demonstrations are scheduled to go forward today anyway. Following an enormous public outcry, the MAGA Club at The Villages in Florida canceled an event with pardoned Jan 6 seditious traitors planned for yesterday.
Lastly, remember that it’s our responsibility to fight back against Krasnov’s tyranny every single damn day, against every single damn thing. James Carville can go straight to hell with the rest of the Vichy Democrats.
“I have not yet begun to fight!” - John Paul Jones
"One thing I would recommend is if you’re going to cancel your subscription to the Washington Post, don’t entirely remove those dollars from the news space. Take that money and at least invest it in an organization or a publication that you think is aligned with your values." - Oliver Darcy
Most of what I report here stinks, to put it mildly. But I think it is important for us to stay informed, tell the truth, and continue to fight. We need to know the nature of our enemies. Your support of this work as a paid subscriber makes things easier. It’s only $7/month or $70/year.

“A lot of Americans have problems with you not respecting the dignity of this office,” Glenn said. And he's okay with Musk's get-up? A ball cap and a tee-shirt? With a booger-flicking four-year-old around his neck?
I absolutely love this: “Following an enormous public outcry, the MAGA Club at The Villages in Florida canceled an event with pardoned Jan 6 seditious traitors planned for yesterday.”
