I just suggested elsewhere. NATO countries should pass their health care budgets as Defense Spending. After all, a healthy army is a GOOD army, right?

"At that point I gave serious consideration to a good stiff drink, but 0745 is really too early for such."

The second advent of Trump may well cause a change in your lifestyle yet. Remember, it's early.

Thank you for the Oshkosh

photos Tom. I went 1 year

while working out of Chicago

and was amazed.

I also laughed out loud at the

meme of muck & Trump.

Perfect. There's an

interesting article on the

Guardian website about all

the AdF folks at Mar-a-Lardo

on election night. Photos of

Trump with them. Only the

very best rats.

Merry Christmas to all here.🎄

Thanks for the pix of the air show, I'm sharing them with friends who were there so they can get a different perspective.

Regarding the Dept. of Kicking Cans, Trump is the lackey, and the tax cuts are how he repays his owners.

Have a very Merry Christmas, a happy Holiday Season, and an awesome (or at least better) New Year.

Now there’s a new word in the dictionary…elong, as in “You’ve been elonged, dude! You’ve been cancelled on social media!” What’s next from Cardinal Richelieu d’Elon, the power behind the throne?

I went to the EAA fly-in as a kid, as it was called back then (iirc). My dad was an air force veteran, so we got some special access. I live near the airport in Madison, and around that time of year, we look out for the cool planes landing and taking off. The coolest was watching a plane slowly coming in for a landing, and when it got close enough, I could recognize it as a B-17. Happy Solstice!

I live under the right turn departure pattern for Van Nuys airport. Whenever I hear and "old engine" approaching, I run out to the front yard to see what it is (I am the only person in the entire neighborhood who does this). Once I thought I hard a formation of T-6s approaching, and when I got outside and looked up, it was the only flying Ford Trimotor in the world.

Not knowledgeable about such but used to work under the take off flight path at Langley AFB as a young pup. Afterburners always kicked in right over my building. I missed that for a long time. I still peer at the sky since jets at FTW Naval air Station sound like they are making a personal visit. My mom remembered the first plane she ever saw, and was fascinated all her life. My time at NASA was a treat in So many ways, got to go to blast offs, landings, and meet heroes (or not). Still great memories…

Regarding inflation and the cost of living, it's worth knowing that there are two class action suits being settled, one against the tuna companies for colluding to fix tuna prices and one agains the potato cartel (It's a real thing.) for doing the same. Some may remember several months back when the prices of frozen potato products skyrocketed. Further, there have recent reports that some of the more prestigious colleges may have been doing the same, probably because enrollments are dropping.

And Trump's demand for 5% GDP spending for defense by NATO nations will not be met because it cannot be due to those nations' post-Covid economic problems. I see an opening for Canada to tweak Trump's nose and kick him in the slats if he goes stupid on tariffing. Canada has fewer adversaries than we do, especially now that there's been a takeover by maga adversaries of democracy. Ukraine is now the primary defender of the system devised by our Founding Fathers.

Musk actually did get something he wanted from the revised CR, beyond creating chaos and being seen pushing people around. The provisions making it harder to invest in business in China, which might have interfered with Musk's business interests in China, got taken out.

Thanks, Joan. I am glad someone has found this detail of the revised CR. Headlines are just who won/ who lost. Not much of what was in or out of the CR, and what that might mean. I wish Katie Porter was back using her blackboard. Ignorance got us the coming administration.

People were asked by (What’s Her Name), who does focus groups of undecided voters, Do you think Trump is an authoritarian? The most common answer was What’s an authoritarian?

Google was asked What’s a Tariff the day after the election.

Katie was as stupid as Allred was. Now both could be so valuable, as could Al. Yes, I’m still mad about Al. And the voters are so stupid. Don’t confuse them with facts. Rupert learned that long ago.

That’s a very impressive air show! Kind of puts our little (although still great) Hood River Fly-In to shame.

I couldn’t believe my eyes looking at those 2 aerial photos!

I run outside when I hear an uncommon airplane above my house too. They’re always old. That’s all I know. I saw a really sexy looking plane yesterday flying into McCellan. I live less than a mile from that airport. The plane looked like it was made of stainless stainless steel and it had great lines. It was sleek, but it looked old and it also looked like a fighter plane to me.

We're well underway for another do-nothing (of importance or benefit to the Country) Congress for at least two years if we're allowed midterm elections. If we don't get fair and open midterms I hope some people drum up the courage to fight back and demand the right to vote,

Not lol, the vagaries of old age come to us all, if we’re lucky. The ones in my family who died young are special to me still. Helps me to tolerate what has come my way. There are no happy endings, but hopefully a good story. Some just write horror and we wish it were fiction…

TC - have you ever ordered from Chewy? I mix Hill's kidney diet chicken pate and kibble for my 12-lb. poodle. Just checked and the prices from my recent orders - 10/17 and 12/6 haven't yet changed. I buy enough each time to get free delivery.

For pet meds, I use PetRXdirect. In both cases, the prices are the same (at present) as I would pay at my vet's office but Chewy delivers to my door in 2-3 days after ordering.

I *never* buy from Walmart and rarely buy through Amazon.
