I do recall and remember seeing with my own eyes a time when Kari Lake was a newsreader on one of our local TV stations, WNYT, in the 1990s. And today I am just so happy to see this ever so clever phrase attached to her - her dogma’s being run over by her karma.

A round of slow claps for the author, if you please.

Hope Bragg, Merchant, etc get preemptive pardons. The revenge is paramount for the master criminal…

Thanks for the roundup! Kudos to Bragg and James!

One semi-obscure item you missed was Nancy Mace filing assault charges against a foster care activist who shook her hand and asked her to support trans kids in foster care. This was at a foster care advocacy shindig, so not like it could’ve been unexpected. The guy shook her hand. That’s it. And she’s made a massive Twix deal out of it. https://www.wonkette.com/p/maxine-waters-assaults-nancy-mace

Hadn't seen that at the time I was writing this.

She's precious, isn't she?

Expand full comment

She’s the worst. lol. I actually prefer Marge to her. Marge at least has always been who she is. Mace is just a transactional opportunist. Perfect for the modern GOP.

Not unlike Elise Stefanik

Grrr🤬 SHE'S the worst. Stefanik, that is.

Expand full comment

The competition for "the worst" is neck and neck, but I do give extra points to the non-white and/or non-guys. White guys are out for their own interests. The rest are just boot-licking toadies.

Expand full comment

I honestly think Mace is worse, only because she's dumber than Stefanik and is a lot more addicted to seeing her name in the papers.

I did NOT just say that Stefanik is smart; I said she was smarter than Mace. the bar remains a low one.

Expand full comment

This raises an interesting question about what's worse. On the whole, I believe that "smart" is more dangerous than "stupid" -- and I included "canny" in the former, because Trump himself doesn't seem to be especially smart, but if he weren't extremely canny, he would not be where he is today. The MSM, unfortunately, is drawn to stupid because it's easy and fun to cover.

The maga crowd certainly attracts histrionic female personalities, the kind of women who support their contention that women's hormones make them too erratic to be trusted with governing.

Let's not forget Nancy Mace, whose video of a "lez-kiss/pass the booze" back in 2016 was just discovered by the Daily Mail. I'dpost the link, but let me assure you that's on the "can't be unseen ever" list.

😂😜 Seems the antifa graffiti at her house contained … wait for it… personal quirks in Nancy’s handwriting. In so many ways I’m still a bit numb, but I’m kinda looking forward to the “you can’t make this stuff up” shit still to come. *referring to busy bee’s cite above*

You're making the holidays brighter with these reminders, TC. As for Kari Lake, she forgot that only men get to ride Trump's diaper tails. He has no regard for women. All the slavish displays and groveling by MTG have gotten her nothing from him. Elise Stefanik was a token appointment to the UN, a body magas don't even support. Gabbard is a mandatory nomination by Putin. Alana Haba, well, make of it what you will now that Melania's a resident of NYC. It's only men who will get notable assignments, and the more they resemble the Kraken, the better. Scary looking bullies pack more of a punch than locker room variety bullies.

I am sending a holiday card to Alvin Bragg at his office letting him know he's got another fan. Have to figure out an address for Judge Merchan.

No regard for women unless they’re tangentially connected. See Kim, Laura and the wrastlin’ woman.

GOOD NEWS!!!!! Warms up the cockles of this Democratic heart!!! BTW there was also that piece in the Daily Mail/ UK about the lovely Nancy Mace Baby Bird Feeding a shot of liquor with 3 people: https://www.tiktok.com/@dailymail/video/7447086238428859691 which I only love to see because she's a piece of shit...but then aren't they all?

The gene pool is going to go into self-correcting overdrive. Covid is still killing people, I had a buddy that was hospitalized a few weeks ago with it and pneumonia, he couldn't breathe, he was vaccinated and he's fine now but none of us want to get that shit. The maggots with their science denial are going to get to go into some dark discovery days, oh well🤷🏻. You are right Tom, if he is inaugurated we are in for some challenging times. I keep waiting for a sleepy Joe surprise, one can hope. Kamala would have made such a great president, with her own ideas and the ability to build on Joe's economic legacy.

Devastating

I am incredibly disappointed in him. Period the end.

Expand full comment

Remember, he was originally appointed by Trump, so there had to be something deficient there to begin with.

Expand full comment

I don't think so, he has served admirably. I listened to a lot of the pundits on MSNBC, many of whom know him, many were disappointed that he's going to step down without forcing the insipid orange turd to fire him without cause, but most if not all understood the logic of his reasoning. I don't know if it changes anything. If the senate caves and it's looking more like they are going to try too, our country is going to take some shocks that none of our wars were able to impose. Fux News is pulling out all stops to get the misfits confirmed, it's why there has been a change in tone in the senate. Murdoch is the one behind the scenes pulling the strings, he's the power behind the throne.

Thank you Tom, your words of wisdom "tell all the MAGGAts you know to follow Trump's science deniers exactly, while you do the opposite. Let Darwin decide!" gave me my first laugh of today. Excellent post. The anger we all feel needs venting .

"Someone with a Dunning-Kruger score so high it must be astronomical." Yes, but can she play Fizbin?

Of course, Kari would have to give up the governorship of Arizona to become an ambassador. Would she be willing to do that? I have to note that it's not yet certain that the court will not dismiss the NY case against Trump (sorry for the double-negative). Alvin Bragg has opposed it, and the court is likely to side with him, but it's not yet clear. As for the NDAA, Biden should promise to veto it if it contains that provision targeting trans kids.

Expand full comment

Yes, veto it and let the fuckwits try and deal with that along with everything else the "We don't work and play well with anybody" crowd has to deal with, like the 90-day continuing resolution that will have them trying to pass all the shit nobody wants with only 217 votes because the special elections haven't been held yet. That thee people won is like being run over by the Energizer Bunny, damn embarrassing.

" Harry Truman was right when he said “The only ‘good Republicans’ are pushing up daisies,” back in 1948 "

I beieve he was referring specifically to the 1939 Nazi Coup plotters, led by Senator Robert Taft and several other GOP henchweazle congressmen whose trial was declared a mistrial in 1945.

According to my great grand uncle, who worked for him, Truman's dislike of Republicans was "lifelong."

He might also have been referring to the Republicans who brought on the Depression. I'll bet good money he wasn't referring to Lincoln.

I'm glad to hear some good news this morning. TC, as someone familiar with Sacramento and the North State, I'm sure you're aware of Bidwell Mansion in Chico, and the fact that it burned last night. On top of all the other fuckery going on in the country and the world, that heartbreaking news was a terrible gut punch to this Chico native. To all my fellow Californians, my thoughts are with those dealing with the effects of fires, especially in Malibu, gun violence, especially at the elementary school in Palermo, Butte County, and for all those for whom the December holidays do not land gently.

I'm trying to remind myself, that nothing, good or bad, lasts forever. https://www.actionnewsnow.com/news/chicos-bidwell-mansion-destroyed-in-early-morning-fire-wednesday/article_6d13ccf2-b7b7-11ef-a6c6-3b99ebb3f989.html
