Just how many dead hookers or live boys have to be found in the bed of a right-winger before he becomes a liability to that shameless party? There must be more going on with Paxton than what's yet been reported because the guy was just re-elected. That Trump supports him is just more of Trump trying to make acceptable all Seven of the Deadlies.
Considering how long the Paxton drama has been loafing along, kind of makes you wonder what the guy *REALLY* did to finally piss 'em off enough to want to ax him.
Proper doubt was left at the end of PAXTON IMPEACHED in that we cannot be assured of Paxton's fate or that of the residents of the state of Texas, where he is concerned.
'By law, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, a Paxton ally, will schedule and preside over the trial but not vote; Texas’s legislative session ends Monday and the trial could interrupt those final proceedings or be scheduled later. During the trial, the Senate can request documents, witnesses and testimony, meet privately for deliberations and exercise “any other powers necessary,” according to state law.'
Paxton’s permanent removal would require a two-thirds vote by the Senate’s 19 Republicans and dozen Democrats. Paxton’s wife, Angela, is a Republican senator entitled to vote. So is Sen. Bryan Hughes (R), a Patrick lieutenant mentioned in the House articles of impeachment as having aided Paxton. Patrick has not said how he plans to handle those potential conflicts of interest. Both he and Abbott have remained conspicuously silent during Paxton’s impeachment investigation.
“Patrick is much more ideologically and politically aligned with Paxton than he is with the Speaker of the House,” said James Henson, who heads the Texas Politics Project at University of Texas at Austin. But the impeachment puts Patrick in an awkward position given “the strength of the case against Paxton,” he said.'
'Matt Mackowiak, chair of the Republican Party in Travis County, which includes Austin, said it was unlikely that enough Republican senators would vote against Paxton unless Patrick called for it.'
“I don’t expect it. Ideologically they’re very aligned. And you’ve started to see Trumpworld weigh in,” he said, noting that Donald Trump Jr., former White House aide Stephen Miller and conservative activist Charlie Kirk had tweeted support for Paxton in recent days.'
'Shortly before debate began, former president Trump weighed in, criticizing Phelan and threatening to “fight” House Republicans who failed to support Paxton. “It is the Radical Left Democrats, RINOS, and Criminals that never stop,” Trump said on his social media platform. “ELECTION INTERFERENCE! Free Ken Paxton, let them wait for the next election!” Paxton retweeted Trump’s statement.'
'After the vote, Trump posted video Paxton has cited as evidence Phelan was drunk when he presided over the legislature last week, which Phelan’s office has dismissed as an effort by Paxton to “save face.”
“So this is the RINO who is responsible for the impeachment of a just re-elected Attorney General of Texas who has done an outstanding job? What is our Country coming to?” Trump wrote.' (WAPO) Sorry no gifted option is available.
sounds good...I like adding the color, perhaps, as the insignia for our military mobilized against the 'orange menace', What do you think of it as a move to further confuse the enemy? Of course, our side, has been known to also lose its way.
Patrick is the evil chumpers are most proud of. He has not one iota of integrity. Boy, have the cretins lined up in favor of pure evil. May TC be right. Circular firing squad.
That corrupt piece of shit should have been in prison for the last several years. But I will take this wonderful news of his impeachment as a win. Cheers🥂
I really try not to read any news after 8:00PM, but I saw your headline and opened it immediately and said out loud “Yes! Suck it you fucking fucker Paxton!” And I slept like a baby.
When yer so bad that even “they” know its time to hold you accountable, yet you continue to use your position to threaten and coerce; you feel emboldened. And why not?
YES!YES!YES! F*cking FINALLY something

Maybe this will also provide some impetus to the federal indictment that has been "simmering" for several years.
Sounds like Trump is pushing himself further into irrelevance with his response to this impeachment!

May the tale be told

I want to introduce the orange menace to my 10-pound sledgehammer.
I'd like to add thomas, Gorsuch, & Roberts & Barrett to that introduction.

Good news! I hope they show Paxton some wild west justice. Permian Basin would be a great place to lose him in.
Waiting Tom, (my dear brother was a Tom also) for
your next Breaking News
tonight. Make it a good one,
"cause I really need a laugh,
a lot.👍
As we well know, impeachment (even twice) does not always result in conviction.
He and all his supporters are slime of the slickest variety, they taint every molecule in Texas
Chaos in Texas! Republicans tied in knots...or nots, not certain which. Distraction politics. Bah.

Love last sentence, but dare I hope. In a state that claims to be bigger and better, in corruption, that is…
I had to get up and walk around, I couldn't keep the chuckles in at that punch line.
Glimmers of sanity within the gop ranks in Texas! Will it last?
