For those who think cats are not independently intelligent.
Hah!
This fellow reminds me a lot of Ginger, who could also figure out stuff like this.

We cat people are living with a combo of genius robots and unconditional love rolled up in the cutest furry balls. A mysterious creature with a range of skills and personalities that rival those of any creatures, including their human “masters.” Some connect, some reject, and we are lucky if we cross paths with our “heart” cat(s).
My Mom had a cat, a red point siamese named Topaz, who was SO clever. She used to sleep on top of a small TV Mom kept in her bedroom and watched before bed. Mom would turn it off with a remote and go to sleep. About 10 minutes later the TV turned on by itself. After watching a bit, Mom figured it out. Once the TV began to cool, Topaz would stretch, yawn, then reach down to press a button on the cable box. Success!! The TV was warming up already. :-)
She also curled up on top of the old cathode ray computer monitor, and chase the path of the mouse indicator on the screen!
