The Governor, in his stumbling, bumbling almost babbling fashion makes the point that mandates ought not be necessary because people should choose to do what is best to protect themselves and he's correct in that. Unfortunately, due largely to the failures of the disgraced former president (dfp), a substantial number of people remain adamantly and intentionally confused about what course of action is most effective in preventing their infection and, because of the danger that presents to their fellow citizens, the mandate has become the only tool left in this fight. Antibody therapies aren't protective, they're an attempt at aiding recovery and would be unnecessary if people would just take the {currently free at the point of usage) vaccine. Did I mention that the antibody therapies are wonderfully expensive and highly profitable for the companies that make them?
