Dying laughing. Oh, how I remember those Sigma Chi boys. Never dated one. Too bland. Just motorcycle-riding Zetes and Dekes, and the AKLs next door who serenaded us on our sleeping porch late at night with dirty lyrics to popular songs.

What a great story. Thanks for sharing this!! Oh, to have been there to see the chaos. And seriously, Jim Morrison was just raw energy when he performed, wasn't he!

Bravo, TC. A trip down memory lane. I am a columnist for our community newspaper. My column is DOWN MEMORY LANE. Our senior residents are chock full of memories. I enjoy working with them as they share their stories with me.

So Sigma Chi was the asshole fraternity (but I repeat myself) model for the asshole fraternity in "Animal House?" I liked how one of the Delta Tau Chi brothers described being beaten up by "members of the Hitler Youth" in the movie. When I was in school in a big campus, it was veterinary school, and we were well away from the Frat/Sorority action, but on the few occasions I went on the main campus they were not hard to pick out.

This made me lol. Thanks, I needed this! At one time I think I had every NGDB album out there. This at the time I lived in the hippy house at a private womens college, where your 1957 met 1977. And 1977 met 1957. Khakis and pearls indeed! Thanks for the great visualization.

Thanks for a GREAT story, TC and for taking our minds off the election coverage.

Of course, the horse race style reporting is non-stop and of course, complete with polling numbers (always with the Repubbie bias) and who is "up" points and who is "down" points...as though anything--unless it's a landslide--will be decided tonight. Heavy sigh.

Black cocktail dresses

and 3 inch heels! A big difference to the Celebration of the firing on Fort Sumpter with toooo much Scarlet O’Hara punch, dancing to Monkey Time with Big Daddy and the Duquenes in the hills of New Hampshire in 1967. Jeans, sweat shirts and campus leader boots💥. Ask Bob Reivh about those drys!

💙 this and wish I could have been there for the domino effect ! Disclosure: I was in a sorority(albeit known for its beer swillers). I did not last long. Let’s just say I wasn’t a good fit.

Jim Morrison was born in my (now ruby red) Fl county. His small, childhood home recently went on the market for 2.5 million, probably bought by some blue blazered. ,red tied, khaki wearing ,wingtipper.

I believe his dad was a Navy admiral who trained here.
