OMFG!! Thank you Michael and thanks TC for sharing. This is my greatest fear. Democrats haven’t even been playing defense IMNSHO; they have been acting like it’s still 1970-something instead of screaming 🔥 ( with a few exceptions) and it’s been breaking my heart AND pissing me right the hell off. We’ve got to get our mojo back, and FAST!!!
Dems are being too subtle for fear of appearing to try to out-Trump Trump. We need to get loud, get proud, and beat the drum for the working class, not the middle class. If we can pull up or push up the working class, they can make it to the middle class. The operative word is "working". And we need to identify and recruit good candidates, even better if they're somewhat reluctant, a sign of humility, something refreshing after the Big Blather. I'm sticking with my aim for George Clooney/Mark Kelly (both out of this world) ticket and all other candidates under 50 years of age. It may sound silly and/or farfetched, but far, far less so than what we've got now.
I’m amazed. I had no idea he was a capable writer, nor that the guy who once claimed he’d take a bullet for Trump now claims to believe policy positions that are antithetical to Trump’s. How is this possible?
How is this possible? Did you not read the news over the past nine years? Cohen took the fall for Donnie in the election payoffs to Women Too Young back in 2017, got sentenced to prison, was allowed out for home confinement due to COVID, then yanked back in when they realized he was writing "Revenge." Trump went after him hammer and tongs during Maladministration I. He "saw the light."
I just learned Michael Cohen has already published two books on his journey from loyal Trump attorney to major critic, and the second one, Revenge, was on the NYT Bestsellers list. Clearly I was way, way behind the curve about him. Here’s a positive article:
The MSNBC "reviewer" is your typical over-educated under-intelligent snotnosed New Yawk intelleckshooul (I cannot stand the NYC BS artists. If someone ever nuked that place I would buy a case of champagne to celebrate that certain people were among the missing) displaying his over-educated under-intelligent snotnosed belief in his natural moral superiority to the rest of us mere mortals.
Interesting! I’m certainly not surprised that Cohen is now outspoken against Trump, given all the ways Trump exploited, abandoned, and abused him (as he does to so many people who make the mistake of becoming involved with him in any way.) That, I was certainly very familiar with. I welcome anyone who opposes Trump effectively. What I had missed was the success he’s met with in his new role as powerful Trump critic. When he was Trump’s fixer, his eloquence wasn’t obvious. I get it now. Thanks for catching me up.
Wow!!! Thank you for this! There are naysayers who say ignore Lev Parnas and ignore Michael Cohen because of their unsavory pasts… But they know of which they speak, and Parnas constantly reminds us that he still has valid connections, so he learns information before it hits the main stream… I aim for a judicious outlook without being dismissive. This exhortation from Mr. Cohen definitely says not to just sit up and pay attention, but to STAND up, SHOUT, be loud and proud, as one reader wrote, and so much more. Decorum, deschmorum be d*mned!
Thank you, Tom for sharing Michael Cohen's realistic take on the Democratic Party. For once I totally agree with Michael. Just listen to what the so-called Democratic leadership responded to Zohran Mamdani's win in New York. Zohran won by appealing to the majority of New Yorker's needs, affordable living in the City. Sure he upset the handful of wealthy, tough patooties! I hope he does become mayor - not because I live in New York, I've never even visited NYC - but because I do not believe that hoards of money is the be all and end all of existence. Money in their coffers seems to be the ONLY interest of the DNC, DCCC, DSCC. They don't give a shit about policy, about governing for the common good of ALL Americans. If their wealthy donors are happy they are happy, win, lose, or draw.
Michael is right. We need a PLAN, not a wish, to make living in America affordable for all. By plan, I mean a blue print. We need to lower the cost of housing in every State. HOW? We need affordable health, dental, and vision insurance. HOW? We need affordable healthy food. HOW?
From my point of view number one is getting rid of the rotted leadership of the Democratic Party. Number two is admitting that we, liberal progressives, are regulated Socialists at heart and dammit, we're proud of it. Socialism means we care and have concern for all members of our society, recognizing that we are all Homo sapiens with minor cosmetic differences between us. We are not white, black, brown, red, or yellow skinned - we are all relatively hairless mammals of the Genus Homo, species sapiens here's not a dime's worth of difference in our DNA.
We need to respect our real scientists who are working hard to make life better for all while expanding our knowledge of everything.
We need to mitigate the changing climate to save what life we can still save. Yes, we'll have to give up some harmful stuff, tough patooties! What is more important? survival? or death?
Hanging the New York City upper class - regardless of party registration - would be a great step on the road to Making America Great Again. They've been a cancer on this country going back 180 years to when Conreliuus Vanderbilt became the first American millionaire by wiping out the beaver population of North America in the cause of making men's top hats. Consider all the shenanigans Wall Street has pulled on the rest of us.
I truly hope everyone will consider subscribing to Cohen's YouTube channel. I might be totally mistaken, but I think he went down the rabbit hole with the allure of the false-glitter of Trump. He learned the hard way and went to jail. There is no other pundits out there that I am aware of that knew Trump as Cohen did. I trust him to tell the truth.
Pretty well sums it up. Feeling good is premature. The battles must draw blood if we have a chance at saving the grand experiment from our self-wrot obituary. The deadline shuld be July 4, 2026. Everything in and finished by that date. No 251st birthday otherwise.

As we say in Brooklyn, “Fuckin’ A, man!”
Yes, yes, yes!!! When will we get a spine?

Michael Cohen? THAT Michael Cohen? Or another one?
That one. The one who walks the walk as well as talking the talk.
I was just looking it up, and it IS *that* Michael Cohen, Trump’s former personal attorney:

Please consider subscribing to his YouTube channel. It is very good.

And here’s a critique both of Cohen’s second book, Revenge, and of the author himself, by Michael A. Cohen (no relation), an MSNBC columnist:

oh
It's the whiff of neo-liberal corporatism still hanging around the establishment Ds, like an old wet dish rag.
Cohen hits the nail on the head.

Thanks for this post!
Definitely watch the Cohen-Parnas show on Michael's Substack.
THANKS! Will do!

Exactly what I have been thinking. Wake the fuck up, Democrats. It is a new game, and you're way, way behind.

Thanks Tom for sharing this. Am really concerned about the Dem party. Jeffries is a big disappointment.
Truth.
