According to Abigail Tucker, the author of “The Lion in the Living Room: How House Cats Tamed Us And Took Over The World,” the house cat is the one domesticated animal that serves no economic purpose. She presents evidence that, in fact, we did not domesticate cats - they domesticated themselves to take advantage of our world.
It is well known that cats are not fans of change. So the past four months here at Le Chateau du Chat have been disconcerting to the pride of lions who reside here as Everything Has Changed. It’s taken awhile but I notice that they have now successfully adapted all the changes to their greater good.
Roscoe, Corky and Sebastian have decided they approve of the new bed.
Creampuff and Sebastian also approve of my new writing chair. Even if they can’t exercise their claws in it.
Molly enjoys the view from the top of the new book cases. (that’s not a real plant next to her - a good fake is the only kind they leave alone)
Sebastian likes the new cat tree.
As does his sister, Corky.
They also approve of the new living room chair.
Phantom likes the top of the other cat tree, where she can see without being seen (she thinks). Where else would a phantom lurk?
Creampuff thinks the new sheet sets her off well as a backdrop, an opinion I agree with.
The rest are still mulling over whether or not to accept my apology for changing everything.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 What a felicitous transition from 6 black robes to TC's melange of kitties. Phantom is my kind of spy on the Court's supremacists. I like the new furniture, too. That multi-colored spread on your bed is a hit show! TC you have treated us to a wonderful display. HAPPY DAY!
Thanks for the update. Cats, chickens, dogs on boats- all signs that there is normal hiding in plain sight.
