For other scoping procedures, I get to watch the journey up and through my organs. Doc and I natter as he goes up and around about status and then about the weather or grands on journey back. He took down the sign to other specialists who used the suite that read "Be sure to check markings on you devices after ever use." Too similar to the sign at the boat dock that reads "Be sure to check for snails before taking your boat out of lake." All of life is connected.
Since this is “ Colonoscopy Central” and all the good jokes are gone I am left with the question: will this change your writing? Hope not. Don’t want it to be too clean or sedated!!!!!
So, all's well that ends well. They didn't knock me out, just killed pain and I was awake. They found two small polyps they clipped, all is well. "We won't be seeing you here again, Mr. c;leaver."
my ritual is to recite "Leda and the Swan." twice. and I never get beyond the second line the second time. this last time, I went under much too fast. and the environment made an episode of "MASH" look like high tea or something. I should have left the doctor's office when he told me it'd be done at Wyckoff Heights Hospital. my response was "but isn't that a shithole?" and the doc agreed, but said it wouldn't matter.
I just did my 5 year colonoscopy this morning. Supposedly there are pills (&lots of water) you can take for prep, but Medicare doesn't cover it. Had I known beforehand, I might have gone that route instead of drinking a gallon of that stuff. Half yesterday & the rest this morning starting at 4 a.m. yuk....
prep, I agree, is awful. Particularly the goop you get to drink in the evening. The aftermath? Once someone drives you home, its not particularly bad. I get these every couple of years for polyps. It gets to be routine. And nothing bad every shows up.
I like the part where the doctor says "breathe now" and the next SECOND a nurse is offering me apple juice.
You know, if you want a day off, take a day off. No need to put yourself through the prep and procedure on our account!
I laughed out loud.
That was a good one!
Yes, you’re too funny 😂
Will there be video?
I laughed out loud.

Seriously, my video was great! it shows everything.
What little I saw of mine looked just like the picture on the brochure.

Take care of yourself.
If technically possible could you implant your colonoscopy video on Trump's website, that would be fun, and meaningful.
I laughed out loud.
🤣🤣🤣

but it certainly did.
The prep the day before is always worse than the actual procedure. Hang in there! Black coffee ain’t so bad. Hope you receive good news!!
You know, it’ll likely be the most enlightening thing on TV tomorrow. However, feel no need to share.
In all seriousness, good luck!
Thanks.
Yes, most important, hoping for a healthy result for you. Definitely worth it to go through it.

Breakfast afterwards was great, though!
you'd think they could do something about the TASTE by now...
Bon courage et bonne chance.

Your fan club here has lots of experience and sympathy. Hope you get the results you want! Thinking of you and that awful prep.
