…Wong Foo King Political Party.

It is a good one, isn't it? You can use that name with anything.

If it gets around, we can use the acronym, as in "WTF, WFK?" Although I've got to say, "WFK pee pee" has serious potential . . .

All the R's who came out last night to pay homage to the Cheetoh looked pathetic. They don't have an independent thought in their heads. As Liz Cheney said their dishonor will remain.

Bravo Tom! As you said many

Question one - who ever thought John Cornyn had a spine? Just because he’s not a Ted Cruz clone doesn’t make him human.

Question two - who ever thought that the Republican Party had a modicum of patriots who love the country more than their cult master? I can count them on fingers of one hand. THEY are the threat. How all of the cretins love to follow Goebbels propaganda rules. I was right three years ago, FB and Twitter.

"There are many jobs available . . . do them." Stirring words, and we best all heed them. We are at an even more dangerous and critical inflection point than we were at the beginning of the week.

Now that I've discovered that Swing Left has a neighborhood group that meets 3 minutes away from Le Chateau du Chat, I'm plumb out of excuses myself.

In my world, I just see that the MAGAts have doubled down on their "MAGA Status" and/or are flying the US Flag upside down. Gee, (in)Justice Alito, what does that mean?

I love this:

"Trump’s conviction is a battle won, but the war rages on and it’s not clear yet who will win out in the end.

The defeat that matters is his defeat in November. There are lots of jobs available for those who want to make that happen. Do them."

While I felt celebratory last night, I have yet to turn on my TV because reality will have set in today and the battle will have already commenced. Your quotes from the sycophants prove that. I refuse to let it get me down. I refuse to give up. I refuse to let one victory take the wind out of my sails and distract me from the war that continues to rage.

I haven't lived with a TV in about 40 years. It helps.

“Many have wondered whether Trump would lose his voting rights as a convicted felon. Not to worry! Under the Floridumb constitution, the governor and his cabinet can restore a felon’s voting rights.”

In 2018, 65% of Fl voters approved an amendment to restore voting rights to felons who had completed terms of their sentence. In 2019, DeSantis signed legislation prohibiting returning citizens from voting unless they paid off debts imposed by a court. The problem was that the FL system was so messed up it could not determine what , if any, debt they owed and if they were eligible to vote. Then they started arresting dozens of citizens for honest mistakes. It was not a “good look” for. DeSantis. It will not be a good look in Fl for him/GOP if they have to restore Trump’s voting rights. Add this to abortion access and medical marijuana on the ballot. Oh, and the heinous law just passed against heat protection for workers. That law also stops cities and counties from requiring businesses with lots of hourly/part-time employees (fast-food tourism, chain retail) from giving workers schedules 2 weeks ahead. Also dissolves living-wage ordinances. All not a good look.

Still a lot of work to do but the RDF (Raging🔥 Dumpster Fire) party just keeps making it easier!

Well, the dumpster has quite a pile of debts "imposed by a court". So he will have to pay them off before he can have his voting rights restored????

How ironic would it be for all felons to have their voting rights restored regardless of debts owed - what good for dumpie sure could benefit other ex-cons! (in a manner of speaking).

Part of me isn't surprised, since I wasn't born yesterday, but part of me is seriously appalled that the GOP has become so blatantly anti-democratic and anti-rule of law. LaCivita's response to Larry Hogan's acting like a responsible politician is a shocker. I hope some member of the press gets to my former governor, Charlie Baker, and gets his take on all this.

Thune. The word should become a noun meaning an obsequiously spineless person.

Thanks Tom . What strikes me as the most ludicrous in all this, is he State of New York is "weaponizing" justice against the poor sniveling trumpster; but that same Party of Trump (POT) is not weaponizing Congress when they try to impeach Biden, Hunter Biden, and Mayorkis.. Only the Democrats take the privilege of weaponizing? Yeah, right!

I was on the phone with a friend for the verdict. she cried. I was moved for about three seconds until I noticed that my stomach was still in the same fucking knot as I wondered what the response plans were for the scumbags. it turns out that, as yet, there doesn't seem to be one except for "staying on message." but it's been slightly more than twenty-four hours. and the knot is still there.

as for TFF, it was obvious from his "remarks" after the verdict that he was unaware of what was going on. his eyes were slits and he had no affect. god knows what they had him on. I've been thinking about how he's gonna try to finesse that drug test, although he'll surely be able to produce "prescriptions" for everything. it's just too bad the results are confidential. in NYC, a vast percentage of probation officers are social workers. and many of those social workers are black. and many of those black social workers are very used to dealing with self-serving, cowardly punks like TFF.

so this shit can get GOOD.

but that knot...
