On this last day of November, LET’S NOT FORGET the darkness that Putin has brought to Ukraine. At night, through a satellite image we see the difference between the radiance of Europe, the brightness in Moscow and varying degrees of light in the surrounding countries against the black of night over Ukraine.

The ‘…recent bombardment of missile strikes from Russia left millions of Ukrainians without power and water.’ (TC)

I stayed with that satellite image absorbing the darkness that evil doers can cast over the rest of humanity. We, too, are facing the darkness if we do not pull together.

The Ukrainians are now regaining their light, heat and water with help in the form of high-powered generators, an air-defense package and ambulances on the way.

LET’S NOT FORGET the power of darkness and the power of light.

I "liked" this piece but I hate this reality.

One can only hope against all odds that the Russian people are inspired by the protests in China. Another Russian Revolution is long overdue. Is Putin trying to outdo Czar Nicky in terms of stupidity and abuse? Not only is it a horror for Ukraine, but the entire military effort is a boondogle and most of all, a huge national expense and embarrassment. I can't believe Russia's young people will put up with this forever.

We all need that reminder, TC. Its too easy to get all wound up in the crap going on in Congress or any other of our daily issues. Reminds us that some people are struggling just to get clean water, plus the nitty gritty - staying alive long enough to last thru Russia's bombardments.

Sounds as if the UK is stepping up - but the people should be thinking about what happens if someone's home is demolished - belongings gone - how will they survive in the winter cold - on top of the missiles & bombs.

Sort of makes me wonder how we in the US would handle this kind of disaster - would we do as the Ukrainians are doing - fighting FOR their country - making do - helping one another? How sad is it that I could ask that question?

The contrast of the satellite image and "During the blackout, Ukraine's health ministry said that nine organ transplants from posthumous donors were carried out within 30 hours." is astounding!

Thank you, TC for showing us how lucky we are and that we must remain vigilant. If we become complacent about the very real threats, within our own congress

and country, simmering on their

banked fires of hate and prejudice,

we could become a nation of darkness.

Thank you, TC, for this graphic reality!

Too easy to put it off our radar. Am grateful to you for this reminder and for Allen Hingston, Tanya and Lucky, whose journey has kept Ukraine real and immediate.
