I'm going to the Printing Shop tomorrow and ordering Blue Hats with "We're Not Going Back" printed on them.

Maybe I will get some Red Hats with "We're Not Going Back" printed on them just to mess with the MAGA folks.

Nice article TC.

I like the slogan "We're not going back"

I've liked Kamala since she was endorsed for the Senate by my representative, at the time, Maxine Waters. I used to live 3 blocks east of Crenshaw near 147th in Gardena.

I like her straight-on approach, and her no-nonsense messaging. She'll make a great President.

Let's get to work, making that happen.

We watched it live, at home, less than half an hour away from the event. I swear I could feel the love and happiness radiating from 25 miles away. We laughed, we cried, we cheered. Love, love, love.

[Adding, two hours later:] It's unusual for me to "gush" like this. I left the war behind me 54 years ago in the summer of 1970 -- but the war has never quite left me. I love the life we have here. The "Republicans" are infuriating. Kamala Harris could verbally eviscerate pmurt. Depending on how it goes in November, we could actually begin to believe that we could help lift our brothers and sisters up out of poverty. And so much more. It feels so much better to have a positive, hopeful outlook.

Oh my god, the news just gets better and better since Sunday afternoon. Almost everyone on Giridharadas' plane was tuned to her live rally !?! Wow! She is really catching fire! I love it. And the fundraising haul! What a statement of nationwide enthusiasm! Today I added my modest $99. I feel so much better than I have in... a couple of years at least. You can just hear people all over the country crying tears of relief.

We're not doomed after all!

Go Kamala!!! We're Definitely Not Going Back!!!

WOOT WOOT! That folks on the airplane were tuned into her Milwaukee speech is a very hopeful sign.

Maybe. I don't believe that frequent flyers got us into this mess, but I do suspect that most of those who got us into this mess (e.g., the Republicans, the free-marketers, and the descendants of the "Best & Brightest" Democrats) are frequent flyers.

I always said that the Democrats have the winning message. Now we have the winning messenger to deliver it. I hope she has some big coat tails this fall.

She has enough sense to use Joe’s expertise. Chump only knows how to create chaos and exact revenge. What a diff…and what a gift. Thank you Joe

It's such a relief that things are not a huge (or "fine"!) mess now and that the "hand over" has been so smooth. I credit President Biden for his excellent timing of waiting till the GOP were done with their convention (and stupid choice of VP), and that is perhaps why they seem to have been caught so flat footed now. I feel like perhaps this was Biden's plan all along and perhaps he kept the plan all tightly wrapped and just gave out info to a very very small circle of people, just enough to ensure this unbelievably orderly transition to Kamala Harris. Things currently look hopeful for sure. But we HAVE to carry this momentum forward to actual voting....

Just checked out info pertaining to Shenker-Osorio. It is transformational. Thanks TC. One quote: “A great message does not say what is already popular; a great message makes popular what needs to be said.

Happy dancing! Singing, humming, jumping around. My small dog is wondering what is going on. I didn't think I could feel this good, for many years now. Wow! I guess I'm glad I didn't leave the country after all. This is amazing to witness and be part of. Learning how to take down fascism with a smile on your face... (her face)!

My cats too.. they don’t like chaos unless they create it.

Thank you, Tom. Kamala is a very powerful speaker, always has been. And she has that "thing" about her, being joyful about life and the future we face without acting like a clown. Clowns are fine as circus performers or even late night comedians. But an orange painted clown in the White House, or representing us in the world at large? C'mon.

Watching her today was a pure pleasure. It was obvious she was enjoying it, smiling, beaming, the whole time. Her timing and delivery were perfect, didn't miss a beat, like a musician. And she was actually saying the things we want to hear from our Democratic leader, in unmistakable language. I could see my habitual world view (of late) improving, right before my eyes in real time. So good. Makes me happy.,

thank you for your EXCELLENT coverage and interpretations of what is going on. i barely slept after Biden's failed "debate". Many nights of ZERO sleep. a few 2 hrs and 3 hrs interspersed. Since Sunday, when Biden stepped down to endorse Harris, I've had 7-8 hrs. each night. What a difference hope can make!

I know you read Rick Wilson. And he's been pushing the sell the brownie not the receipe for quite some time. There are days I hope someone on her campaign is reading Rick and using his take no prisoners approach. Trump is a cornered rabid animal, and it's important she keeps hammering him. Right now she has to be Muhammed Ali in the early days - float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. Trump and Maga can't stand being laughed at.

Rejoicing is good for the soul, but remember, the trolls are still under the bridge, and there's no dirty trick they won't try. Luckily, Joe's now got an Official Act immunity sleeve he can pull aces from. Everything has to be moleproof and trollproof from now until the Inauguration.

Kamala Harris knocked it out of the ballpark on many, many levels. Old goiteraide can’t wait to start smearing her. Wretched, wretched beastie waiting in the wings. Writing postcards with joy.

Thanks. It just seemed appropriate somehow.

The focus on messaging is spot on. The Republicans abandoned policy and went all in on messaging a long time ago, and look where we are. Sell the brownie, not the recipe is a great message in itself.
