Thanks Tom for re-posting this article. I still think the polls today are pure hogwash. Their sampling is way too small. They talk about dark skinned people or Hispanic people as though they were robots who all act and think alike - bullshit there is as much variance in Homo sapiens everywhere that has no bearing on the color of there skin. My skin color is light beige, because I don't get out in the sun as much as I used to. I am liberal progressive, I like some of the ideas of socialism but in its pure form it wouldn't work here.

I have one Afro American granddaughter, two part Hispanic grandchildren, one fully Caucasian granddaughter. But they are all both alike in someways and different in others and it has nothing whatever to do with the color of their skin or eyes.

As mentioned the Hispanics in Florida are much more "conservative" because they came more from Cuba than those in California who came mostly from Mexico. As with all recent immigrants from anywhere the f1 generation are more traditionalist than the f2 generation who were born here, speak fluent English AND Spanish and tend to be more 'liberal' in their outlook than their parents.

I believe the popular vote will go to Kamala and Tim by a larger margin than Joe and Kamala had in 2020 or Hillary had in 2016. Just remember the ONLY election the trumpscum ever won was 2016 Electoral College. He has NEVER won the popular vote..

“….not continue Biden…!” Talking heads including those on Morning Joe use PRESIDENT Biden as a punching bag!? Why? I suggest the media started the Joe smear because he was too dull compared to the maga buffoon, didn’t provide enough on line clicks for their writings.

As appeared in HCR newsletter the other day “Without that (zero elected maga support) majority, the Biden-Harris agenda that built the U.S. economy into what The Economist this week called “the envy of the world” “

Biden administration provided the American citizen with

The American Rescue Plan,

the Bipartisan Infrastructure Act,

The CHIPS and Science Act,

The Safer Communities Act,

And

The Inflation Reduction Act.

But the msm wallows in the pathetic ‘what have you done for me lately’ disease!

By the way, in 2016 Nate Silver had HRC ‘corronated’ using his new polling methods!

Pollsters do what they do to make $$$$$$$, not to serve the commonweal!

Vote Blue!

I agree - the negativity around Biden is mostly them focusing on how he walks and that he has to overcome a stutter, and is transferred into general performance, despite the fact that he has done more than any president since FDR.

I do not pay attention to polls. They are guesses at best.

I lived outside Detroit for nearly 5 years and outside Toledo for 11 years. It would be unwise on the part of those Arab American populations to sit out this election. To do anything that could possibly result in Trump’s return to the presidency is unwise. NOTHING will improve in a Trump second term. I do not disagree with wanting to bring the Middle Eastern horror to an end. DonOLD Trump won’t do that. He would only make injustice and corruption more rampant.

Thank you Tom for sharing

this article. I found it very

informative and interesting.

I'm not following any polls. I

definitely don't like the

betting that's going on, or

Musk handing out big

bucks for voters in PA. The

FEC has rules about this and

the first time anyone took any

money from Musk, DoJ

should have been next in line

to stop him.

' uncomfortably close ". I wager the people who don't vote would mirror the populace at large & may just be a wash if we had mandatory voting ? Banking on women & the grassroots to help get us over the first hurdle of a Harris win.

I had a disturbing conversation with a relative yesterday. Of her siblings (all of mixed heritage), she is the more progressive, yet she is toying with voting for VANCE. Yes, she is ignoring the other guy because she figures he'll die soon or be removed and she would prefer a YOUNGER person in office. That is her only criteria. Never mind 2025. Never mind his misogyny. Never mind his lack of a moral compass. Never mind his complete lack of experience. Never mind his owner, Peter Thiel. For her, it's all about age. She hasn't voted yet, but as an "independent" voter, this is her current "lean."

As for her siblings and her parents, they will vote for tfg because their incomes depend upon money from big pharma and the medical industry. Never mind their personal values or their decency. It's money.

I hope David Plouffe is factoring in people like this.

That 40-50% of Americans are stupid, have a death wish, are bigots, or all three saddens me to no end. Here in MI I fear the Arab-American community is going to sit this one out to punish the Dems for the ongoing slaughter of civilians and children. Inexplicably the mayor of Hamtramck, which is largely Arab American, has publicly endorsed Trump. And in listening to locals I'm hearing sour grapes about Harris's plan to be so helpful to people with housing and business incentives when they themselves had gotten none. And, yes, they ignore Trump's own Daddy Subsidy that paved his way into the business world. Their thinking stops and petulance takes over. Oh, and did I mention that if one polled to see how many would actually take up arms for this country rather than against their fellow Americans that we'd be horrified? That's seems to be where we are.

Can we buy hemlock online, anybody?

Given that Trump is pro-Bibi nd anti-Palestinians, these people are really stupid.

I agree, but they feel betrayed by this administration and in the past most have been reliable Dem supporters, and most have run as Dems in local elections. Jill Stein's people (mostly GOP no matter what they say ) swooped in here a few months ago and tried to lure our dynamic young Arab American mayor into being her running mate knowing he was too young but also knowing it would draw off Dem voters in a battleground state.

Just make sure the idiocy you mention does not diminish the energy and votes of Harris supporters. And remind everyone there in Michigan to mark the non-partisan section of their ballots for two great candidates for state Supreme Court: Justice Kyra Harris Bolden and Kimberly Ann Thomas. I know their names because I’ve been writing postcards to your state from here in Massachusetts. My mom, who is a hundred years old, has been helping. You are not alone.

Thank you, thank you, Joan and mom. Phone banking here, but lots of folks not picking up because they don't recognize the number. Used to do canvassing, but can't outrun the dogs any longer. The Dem Party here once handed me a big list in an Arab American neighborhood to do on a Friday evening. Whoops, Muslim prayer time. Waited it out in the car, but it got late and folks were reluctant to open their doors. Guess we have to stick with the US Mail and electronic media.

Yes, TC, thanks for reposting.

"But the bottom line is, yes, there are still a bunch of genuine undecided voters going, “Hmmmm, Harris or Trump? Harris or Trump…”—even though you gotta wonder, What the fuck is wrong with these people?"

TC, I too just don't get this. How can people be undecided between Vice President Harris and the orange criminal?
