❤️ Wow! Isn't Jack Smith impressive? And his entire team? Hooray! Maybe the SCOTUS 6 figured Jack Smith would roll over with their decision. He has not. Thanks for sharing the document so quickly! It's on my computer. WAPO has made a searchable document.!!!
I was reading the NYT one that first popped and then you put this up before I had a chance to download it. What you put down Tom is plenty enough for this old brain.Thank you for pickin it clean.
Any filings by defense counsel at this point should be read aloud with a suitable laugh track in the backkground. And if the SCOTUS should address this case before the election and provide some cockamamie October surprise ruling in Trump and Bannon's favor, I will ask Kim in NK to trebuchet some of those South Koreabound poop filled Hefty bags onto the porches of the seditious six.
Thank you for such a quick posting, TC. My question: did the Supreme Court read this information prior to issuing their rulings on immunity and also sending back to the lower court. SHAME ON THEM.
Long heavy read in a non airconditioned office on a particularly hot day. There's gonna be a whole lot of shaking goin' on in a cheezy golf motel in Florida and it won't be to classic R&B music.
Hot damn. I knew it. Thanks for the great news, Tom!
Jack Smith saw that Trump had "left no stone unturned" (no left turn unstoned?)., in trying to overturn the election.
Too many avenues, too many actors, too many too many logical (legal) paths to the conclusion (conviction). Hence, once SCOTUS set the rules of the game, all Jack and his team had to do was restructure their arguments. His crime nodes with his action connections, made for a nicely filled graph.
Put another way, Trump had drilled so many holes in his boat it was gonna sink. The court could only protect so much, they couldn't plug enough holes to keep the boat from sinking.
At least, that is the basis upon which Jack has filed his new case.
We threw out what we had to, justified the use of anything we're using which might lie within the outer perimeter of immunity, illustrated how the other evidence clearly lies outside the region of immunity, and have thus provided the court with a super-seceding indictment on the same charges.
Nicely packaged. Well done.
I can't wait to read the whole thing. It should be glorious.
The toast has just popped out of the toaster. He is TOAST.
As I understand it, Judge Chutkan ordered this filing to be released immediately before Trump could appeal its release. Too late to close the barn door.
I wonder if Smith will use his statement that he "lost by a whisker".
"I was told if I got 63 million, which is what I got the first time, 'You would win. You can't not win.' And I got millions more votes than that and lost by a whisker," Trump added.
"Trump received about 74 million votes nationally in 2020, compared to 81 million for Joe Biden."
Just incredible, I hope chump strokes over a read through of this epistle. Of course he won’t read it, but he’ll get the drift. We definitely need protection from “the danger to liberty from the overgrown and all-grasping prerogative of an hereditary magistrate…The abuses by the monarch recounted in the Declaration of Independence provide dramatic evidence of the threat to liberty posed by a too powerful executive.” Take that Project 2025. And please, somebody tell chump that he is no monarch. He’s just a loser slob and bully who has some experience being a mob boss.
The SC will have their work cut out for them as they try to blather their way to immunity. Stick it to them Jack…
Thanks for copying so extensively. Jessica Cravens put a link in her post today but having it in front of me made it more imperative to read. Jack Smith and his team are really good and it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Thank you, Tom, for bringing us the is full, unredacted synopsis of the "Government's" filing. Kudos to Jack Smith for representing OUR government so ably, Trump of course will object and appeal again, But this time round the only way the anti Constitutional 6 can save his sorry ass will be to admit they do not like the Constitution as written and refuse to abide by it, thus destroying the whole concept of justice in the United States
Yes, JD, very well indeed. I lived in Washington DC for 17 months from 2013 to 2015 and it is a very expensive city in which to live, one of my coworkers who lived in DC permanently was raving about the apartment they had just rented in DC - a 2 bedroom 2 bath for ONLY $3400 a month (not including parking or utilities). I was flabbergasted, that was $1500 a month more than my PITI mortgage on a 4 bedroom 3 bath home with attached 2 car garage in Sacramento County. But she was right it was a steal in DC.
That being said, the base salary of each of the 8 associate justices was $274.200 inc 2023 and many of them write books for which they are well paid (well into the 6 figures annually) in addition to which they are well paid to speak at various gatherings. PLUS they each have a very generous expense account's.
The Chief Justice salary is $286,700. There are no restrictions on how much they can earn from selling books and speaking tours. They are just required to report that income.
The only reason from taking bribes is those justices are too lazy to write books. Plus Clarence Thomas apparently considers himself so brilliant he deserves to be a millionaire.
Oh, and I failed to mention they spend an average 7 days a month in court. They do, if they take their job seriously spend a lot of time reading briefs and studying the pertaining law. They each have very bright law clerks from prestigious law schools clerking for them,
Since the evil 6-pack make such anti Constitutional decisions I doubt those 6 spend much time reading the Constitution. I think they operate on the "my mind's made up, don't bother me with Constitutional facts."
Joyce put a link to the filing on her post. I did get to page 68 (out of 165).
What a freaking bunch of keystone kops that crew was (and still is, I guess) With the redactions (names) its fairly easy to work out who they are. The scary thing is, someone who has more experience in the government and a more competent crew? Yeah, scary.

The WaPo download is the best one to get. It's what I used.
I was reading the NYT one that first popped and then you put this up before I had a chance to download it. What you put down Tom is plenty enough for this old brain.Thank you for pickin it clean.
Jack Smith is a hero.

Seditious six, needs to go viral
LOVE IT! :-)
Listen to the JACK podcast (Andy McCabe & Alison Gill) - it pops every Sunday. They cover it all, fabulously!
a friend turned me on to the JACK podcast last year, and yes, it's amazingly comprehensive.
You made my day Tom! What
a wonderful piece of legal
brilliance. I loved the references to the Federalist
Papers/James Madison, the
Constitution and President
Lincoln. Too bad Chief
Justice didn't do his
homework before his "rule for
the ages".
Jack Smith is so awesome. Smart and unstoppable. And ethical!
Thank you for such a quick posting, TC. My question: did the Supreme Court read this information prior to issuing their rulings on immunity and also sending back to the lower court. SHAME ON THEM.
I think the answer is a "no." They were just bullshitting, like most of the Stupid Six decisions.
This is unintended consequences of the SCOTUS ruling. All of this comes out now instead of at trial.
An October surprise?
I suspect three Justices are having to stifle their laughter. .
The Supreme Six Bullshitters.
I'm more of a "fuck them" kinda guy...

on the other hand, TFF is Back in Butler. maybe this time...

We’ll see just how bought the court is.

Electoral votes Biden: 306 Trump: 232
A seven million vote whisker.

Exquisite timing. Just exquisite.

Which they probably don’t mind doing since they have been paid well.

Nailed their arses
Thank you, JD
Extraordinary it is like a giant all day Thanksgiving dinner.
Jack Smith and his Associates are Cracker Jack, and they just took the Supreme Court to school. It’s a wonderful thing!

Seth Abramson's very recent edition of his Substack "Proof" lists all the names of the people identified in the indictment.
