Follow the money. Small contributors may not figure in this battle.

He actually gets a ton of small contributions. He's raised $150 million so far since he left office most from small donations.

I was thinking about the BIG MONEY DeSantis is liable to get. The Ultras would much prefer Ron to Don, don't you think?

DeSantis also does very well with small donations, which is why he has so comfortably taken on Disney and other corporations. The R's now are more and more anti-corporate as corporations do "woke" things they don't like.

When it comes to the bigtime, the presidency, you don't think DeSantis would play both ends? Could Dark Money and major corporations sit it out. I think the Dems will go after their money next time.

The thing all kinds of people on both sides are not noticing is that small donations are far larger amount of campaign money than corporate. Corporate shows up in PACs, yes.

Whatever the channels, when it comes to the final two major candidates, don't the Ultras matter a good deal, and what about state governors and members of the state legislatures?

It's not the corporations, it's the PACs. Recent reporting shows funding to be cloudy.

Yeah, he gave $20 million from his left over campaign fund that he can't spend on himself to a PAC run by former staffers who can campaign for him. There's a lawsuit on the way for that since the FEC can't act.
