I have been reading similar essays in a publication called Jewish Currents. Unfortunately Netanjahu may succumb to the far right in the vain hope such a move will keep him in power. Meantime, NATO nations US, France, UK, Germany along with Jordan and cooperation from Saudi Arabia, act in behalf of a non NATO country that has been murdering Palestinians and likely committing war crimes and crimes against humanity. Israel's war on the Palestinians looks like russia's against Ukraine. The goal of both aggressors is to wipe out a population in order to claim land they believe is theirs by right and religion. President Zelenskyy wondered on PBS newshour tonight why a non NATO country got the defenses it needed while Ukrainians continue to bleed and die waiting for aid to arrive. I wonder the same thing. Thank you, TC, I can't tell you how much I appreciate this article describing the real Netanyahu. Although I am not Jewish, a lot of my friends and my granddaughter in law are. Therefore I have long taken an interest in Israel. I disliked Netanyahu from the time he first took office . I was not at all surprised when he was charged and indicted on fraud and corruption charges. He had no business allowing and indeed encouraging illegal settlement on the West Bank by some of the far extremists. I've read rumors that he absconded with millions of dollars of the Israeli government's money and hid it in Swiss bank accounts. I don't like participating in spreading unproven rumors, but that is how much I despise Netanyahu. Netanyahu, Nixon, and Trump are birds of a feather - although the trumpster is by far the dumbest among them, they are all three, narcissistic, self-indulgent evil men.
And I agree, Fay, sounds exactly like the corrupt criminal we are dealing (well, maybe not) with here! Iran more or less answered Bibi's prayers! I am so sick of hearing how we, Americans, are "ironclad" in our support! Yes we are in support of the ISRAELIS - but not so with Netanyahoo! Sounds like Israel is having just as hard a time getting rid of him as we are in getting "rid" of the dumpster.
I think they're having a harder time getting rid of him. We were able to vote the dumpster out and we'll probably keep him out. (He's actually becoming quite demented, and if he somehow regained the White House, his presidency would have to be managed by others, the way Edith Wilson managed her husband's after he had a stroke.)
This is beyond frightening. This is ideological fanaticism at its worst and we cannot give control to fanatics. Netanyahu must go, but how? Long term we humans have to figure out why we cede control of our countries to wing-nuts and corrupt politicians trying to avoid jail time.

Monday brings us news of further escalation of attacks against West Bank Palestinians by illegal settlers as they rampage after the discovery of a missing 14 year old settler's corpse. Several companys of IDF troops were deployed to police and quell, but allegedly oversaw and participtated in the violence and destruction.
Also on Monday, at the al-Shifa hospital (Gaza's largest) in north Gaza, another mass grave has been exhumed in the compound. The largest yet.
*edit* Oh, while the world isn't looking, Putin is still being a shitweasel. The International Atomic Energy Agency has just warned the UN Security agency of a potential pending nuclear disaster in Ukraine due to sustained drone attacks against the reactors at Zaporizhzhia having forced them into cold shutdown.
This is the same kind of government they had at two other inflection points. Each time they lost allies and stood alone when the big enemy arrived. Result #1 was the Babylonian Captivity and #2 was the Roman destruction of Jerusalem and casting them into the diaspora in 70AD,

All three miscreants are also liars, fascists and megalomaniacs, just the kind of men US president wanna be Donald J. Trump, "the dumbest among them," would appoint to serve on the SCOTUS along side of the corrupt Clarence Thomas, John Roberts, and Brett Kavanaugh, also egregiously dishonorable men. And there you have it--a great lead cast for a really frightening war/horror movie, far worse than all the shit shows they've already produced in the real world...
Of course, it would be a tragic blockbuster, with lots of rockets and drones in the star-spangled air above the Shining City on the Hill and a plethora of bodies piling up in The Swamp below since so much is at stake. The Constitutional Power that rightfully belongs to WE, The PEOPLE, in our quest to promote the common welfare, has been usurped by a cabal of desperate, self-centered, despicable assholes and held too long in their evil grip, forcing the necessity for a monumental revolutionary clash on the world stage as The Goddess of Justice facilitates their overthrow along with the partisan factions that enable them.
