Had the same phenomenon in the Bay. Grew up in Walnut Creek and it would be 80+, drive thru the Caldecott tunnel and it’d be 40.

I LOVED The City. Started going there when I was really little. I mean my first trip was on the ferry to the Embarcadero. Walked or rode cable cars all over when you could just jump on and off. And heaven help me when I got my drivers license. Fillmore, Avalon Ballroom, Winterland…..trouble with a capital T.
