"GOOD REPUBLICANS" IN ACTION (UPDATED)

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn’t Glenn Youngkin supposed to be the “Good Guy” Republican who can speak to the Trump base and lead them onto the paths of righteousness, away from Trump?

Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin (R) appeared to make light of the violent attack on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D) husband at a Friday campaign stop.

“The voters are getting ready to stand up again and say we have had enough, enough of Abigail Spanberger, enough of Joe Biden,” he said. “And listen, I want to stop for a minute and listen, Speaker Pelosi’s husband, they had a break-in last night in their house and he was assaulted.” 

“There’s no room for violence anywhere, but we’re going to send her back to be with him in California,” Youngkin said of the speaker. “That’s what we’re gonna go do,” he said to cheers. 

David DePape, 42, has been taken into custody for the attack that San Francisco police say happened early Friday morning. He allegedly broke into the Pelosis’ California home and assaulted Paul Pelosi with a hammer. 

San Francisco Police Chief William Scott said that DePape will be booked at San Francisco County Jail on charges of “attempted homicide, assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse, burglary, and several other additional felonies.”

Multiple outlets report that he was looking for Nancy Pelosi, who was in Washington D.C. with her protective detail at the time. Paul Pelosi has since been hospitalized.

From CNN: The man who allegedly attackedHouse Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband early Friday posted memes and conspiracy theories on Facebook about Covid vaccines, the 2020 election and the January 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol, and an acquaintance told CNN that he seemed “out of touch with reality.” Two of DePape’s relatives told CNN that DePape is estranged from his family.

This guy broke into the home of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, yelling “Nancy Pelosi!” just like the scumbag traitors inside the capitol on January 6. He tried to tie up Paul Pelosi until Nancy “returned.”

“(iv) if the assault resulted in serious bodily injury…or a dangerous weapon was used during and in relation to the offense, [shall be sentenced to] a term of imprisonment for not more than 30 years.

“Although this statute looks like a good fit for the conduct at first glance, it’s worth noting that it requires that the assault be done "with the intent to impede, intimidate, or interfere with" such Federal official "while engaged in the performance of official duties, or with intent to retaliate against" such Federal official. If there’s going to be a federal prosecution, there will need to be evidence to thread that needle. And there is a certain amount of fog of war this early on in a case—the dust will have to settle, before investigators know what all of the facts are.”

I think the fact this QAnon loser wanted to kill her satisfies “intent to impede, intimidate, or interfere with", Yes?

“Head of Republican Party mocks speaking abilities of Fetterman, Biden.”

Because cruelty is contagious.

Ronna ROMNEY McDaniel made her comments on Hugh Hewitt’s radio show, during a discussion of about President Biden’s plan campaign with Fetterman alongside VP Harris n Pennsylvania today.

Hewitt teed up McDaniel’s shot.

“No one wants them except a doomed campaign,” Hewitt said, suggesting that Democrats around the country have asked Biden and Harris to stay away.

“I do not underestimate what the triple toxicity politically of those three can do,” Hewitt, a Washington Post contributing columnist, continued. “I hope there are cameras and microphones, because you put those three together and they could say anything, Ronna.”

“Well,” McDaniel quipped, “maybe they can get a full sentence out.”

Lest the gibe at the candidate who is recovering from a stroke be missed, she used the same line twice.

Agreeing with Hewitt (who, needless to say, did not push back), she suggested that since nobody wanted to campaign with Biden, maybe Fetterman “drew the short straw.”

“So Biden said, ‘Between the two of us, we may be able to finish a full sentence.’ ”
