I confess to wondering how much the authors, who are with The New York Times and The New Yorker, knew about any of this at the time. I suspect they didn't. But it reminds us anew that anyone who is still loyal to the republican party is guilty of treason as defined by Article III, Section 3 of that document that republicans can't stand, the Constitution.
I'm about half way through and taking a break to get back in touch with reality. If I hadn't read 7 Days in May by Fletcher Knebel and Charles Bailey I'd deny that anyone could write such a story but the truth here is much stranger and far more frightening than the fiction.
