TCin LA! I read every column of yours eagerly, and I'm very grateful for your views - even though I hardly ever comment. I hope "awhile" doesn't mean you're not writing for awhile. Anyway. This time, I'm breaking my silence to thank you a million times over for bringing George Carlin back to me. I was too young for legends like Lenny Bruce, but George Carlin was standing up for sanity during my salad days. He makes even more sense today. Humor is one way I balance the madness unleashed in this country. That and working to GOTV. Thanks, again. xo

Excellent post. Today the audience would have been on its feet and cheering louder. A script for our 50 years of choice and with any luck, the future. ❤️

Just brilliant. Every fucking day I'm thankful geniuses like Carlin and Pryor were my comics.

Today the world has fucking Louis CK. There ya go.

If Congress passed a law that states had to pay the full cost of medical care and child support for victims of rape or incest, on the grounds that they did not consent to the impregnation, you'd see exemptions magically appear in no time.....

I have loved George Carlin since Class Clown. This and American Dream are, to me, his best work, produced late in his career, when his routines had gotten darker and the variety shows wouldn’t touch them. Thanks for this, the perfect coda to this week’s news. ❤️

I would like to add that the one comment George Carlin made that should be understood by everyone is his statement that life doesn't begin at conception - it has existed for at least a billion years and is a continuous process that does not stop. Yes, the sperm and egg are only half of life, and cannot reproduce alone, but they are still a part of the continuous flow of life that has been here from time immemorial, and does not ever stop.....

Oh my gosh!!! Thanks you, TC. I loved George Carlin back in the day. His comedy was often spot on social commentary. I laughed myself silly watching this piece. He was brilliant.
