Robyn reminds me of my first cat, except the feral part. Honey came to me on my 21st birthday, a gift from my sis; the runt of her cat’s litter that she nurtured to 10 weeks old. Honey was never a lap cat but she was always close; in the vicinity. She experienced my early life - graduating college, first career job, marriage, moving, kids - right along with me. Let subsequent felines help me through the rest.
Hubby says the current feline is our last, due to the “hassle”, but I’m pretty sure I can prevail in finding our next. I see myself as the aging cat lady, never far from at least one sweet furball.
So true, I was old when I got my Katy and I had to explain who would take her if I died. Way more trouble than buying a gun. She had been returned to shelter, and is a real loving girl after the initial shock of the change
'Once they cross over from feral to domesticity, it’s like they were never anywhere else.' This opening line for ROBYN read as though it could apply to all living things...universal for domestication or when, finally, settled down. So has Robyn found her comfort zone on Tony's lap. How lovely and how lovely Robyn, with her grey coat and patches of white; and, oh, those pale green lime eyes.
Robyn is beautiful. Reminds me of my Tommy cat a little. You are absolutely right about feral to domestic. All of mine own the house now and compete for my lap. They are a joy.
❤We have a wild boy up here who looks like your Robyn. He
showed up 2 yrs ago. Luna, the bob tail solid gray who came to me for help, up out
of the forest, with his collar
twisted down around 1 leg and open wound on his back
and side, is still with me. He
is a wonderful cat and would
love to come inside. Tippy,
the only one of the 3 small
kittens that has survived,
meets me at the door each
morning when I go out to
feed. He let's me pet him and
hold him. He sleeps under my
wheelchair ramp.👍Cats, what's not to love.
A cat’s seal of approval is the best recommendation for a humane soul
So true!

Just make your next an older kitty - they hardly ever get rescued, and believe me, they know when you do it, and they make their thankfulness known.

My husband always said no more, but he was always their favorite.
They knew who to please.

And we progressives are in the process of domesticating the “conservatives “ by our activism.”
Please, “conservatives” these days are worse bullies than any cat I ever ran across
Hopefully!
That's quite a look you're getting in the 3rd photo.
Fabulous felines. Such a gift!

There is always one mad cat when I sit down, one on each knee and one on the floor waiting her turn…
Shes beautiful, TC - as they ALL are!
Robyn is a pretty girl.
Robyn discovered she likes being loved.
She just had to hold back to make damn sure you were a worthy human!
She's a pretty girl 🐾❤️
