On vacation in Vieques and a local cat has befriended us I call him Señor Gato. Our last night here he hopped into my lap and fell asleep. Cats are wonderful creatures!
Lost my "El Gato" (whom I was never going to keep so never named beyond that 16 years before) in October, where he reigned over the deck for his last 3 months, regally (if suggishly) hosting neighbor cats, moving only as sun and shade and rain persuaded him, to the appropriate sun, shade or rain nest I had made for him. He dined (nibbled) on a friend's fresh caught salmon, bass or venison, then one morning he was gone. I had named him "Little Boy Cat" when he was born on Mother's Day on my couch, his mother a stray. He tamed me.
I think I have everyone beat. I have 15. Resulting from a habit of rescuing ferals that end up being family. Thank you for a wonderful feline Friday Tom. It’s a very nice way to end a challenging week.
They're all my friends. We caught the kittens from the ferals that lived on the property and domesticated them (until we were finally able to catch the moms and get them fixed). Found new homes for 20! But these kittens had already decided they had found their "forever home."
I just lost my 'rare' female orange tabby . She was the best & a constant companion to my horse , they were quite the pair . I hope another one like her shows up. Pets are the greatest & I appreciate your feline fridays ... Sweet Roscoe flirts through my mind.
Thank you for the much needed kitty fix! We just finished watching the latest episode of All Creatures Great and Small -- a beautiful PBS series. I love how they care for each other, and especially for the animals. This episode, they find an injured stray cat, and everyone comes together to save his life.... seeing that restores my faith in humanity.
Thanks for the kitty pics.I needed that to decompress.❤️

Good to have pictures of kitties when the week has been full of orcs and worse! Thanks Tom!

Wow! That must be an adventure. Bless you! You’re a special kind of (kind) person.

at one point my brother and his wife had 21. Their spacious house had a cat draped on pretty much every piece of furniture.
An outstanding end to a very weird week. Thanks TC.
Of course! Kitties rule!

I had a rare orange tabby also - Rusty. "The feral in the house" for 8 years, then she came around and her last six years were Lap Cat City.
Three of my cats are orange tabbies but they are all males (neutered). Very sweet brothers
Had a rare female orange tabby, Rubbie. She just walked in my door one day and stayed. She was a top cat. Lived long and loved to go camping with me.
I’m so sorry Leslie. It’s so hard losing them. ❤️
Is that six cats? Wholly crap. I have one senior citizen, and I’m under no illusions that I definitely work for him.
I love the “peace talks”. Diplomacy at its best.
Me too. I wonder if human diplomats would do as well with a tin of crunchies in the middle.

They're all so pretty 😍
Holy cats, how many have you got?
My cockatiel would have a stroke!
MEEOWWW!!
Who is counting when it comes to kitties?(I have 2 and will always have a wayward one in need).
I’m ain’t criticizing, I’m impressed!
Do I count 7? More?
a most impressive bunch for sure.
My pride of living room lions. It's how they all live together.
