DORITOS???!!!

Our dilute tortie Artemis loves Doritos and nutritional yeast. She’s a thinker, an observer, and the most intelligent cat I’ve ever known.

I’ve been owned by tabby barn cats Copernicus and Socrates 18 and and 20 years respectively) foster mom to Rama (Bengal who only lasted a year before she found home at a coworker’s cattery) and Oreo (black and white Scottish fold who was with us for 8 years) after their previous owner suicided, Wonka (flame point Siamese born on my wife’s family farm in 2004, and came to live with us when her sister moved to Germany in 2012); he was my heart cat and deck buddy. He left in 2018, and we got Artemis and Apollo (litter mates from my eldest niece’s barn cat in 2020).

I had a couple of kitties who LOVED chips of any kind--yes, Doritos, too. Is it the salt? I don't know but if I had a chip bag open and either Gizmo or Fozzy was awake, I needed to guard my stash or I'd def lose them.

My black alley cat and white boxer looooooved chips. Simply with the sound of the bag coming out of the cabinet, no matter how quiet I tried to be, eight legs and a string of drool would be under my feet in no time flat. Of course, I shared.

My dog, Axel, becomes an absolute magnet when I peel the plastic from a cheese stick. He can be sound asleep 2 rooms away & by the time I've pulled the cover back hes as close to me as he can be. Of course we share!

In years past my daughter had a beautiful all black cat; we called Smudge. She would dance up on her back legs for part of a sting cheese.

Tonia is completely black - with huge big black eyes. Her name when she came into the shelter was Tonia - may change it as I get to know her better. Its some different having a 3 year old cat from my old girl who was 15. Right now shes very fascinated with my bird - a Cedar Waxwing. I think she & Axel will get along - doubt shes been around a dog before from the way she acts. Now to keep Pookie (bird) safe!!!

Smudge must have been a real sweetheart.

Mine are too picky, spoiled from first day.
