He’s a piece of shit. I called him Space nazi when I was on the phone with a friend yesterday and she’d never heard the moniker before - and then adopted it immediately. 😁

All jokes aside, Elon is doing some nefarious shit this election cycle. From his fake voter registration website to now paying voters $47, he walks right up to the line of illegality and dances on it and will do so until he’s stopped or fuck, idk what… how do you stop him from destroying our country? There was a piece about him earlier this year wherein there were interviews with people at DOD who readily admitted that he had too much power and they could do fuck all to curtail it. And we’ve got astronauts stuck on the ISS because Boeing is inept and the only option to get them home is Elon or the Russians. Seriously? It makes me want to scream. And speaking of screaming, you should probably read this too. https://www.inquirer.com/opinion/elon-musk-buying-2024-election-20241010.html

Seth Abramson did a great article on Elon.

Yes, that's a must-read.

Great link BUT it seems that, like Bob Woodward and others, Mr. Abrahamson's goal is to make money first and make sure a wide readership can access his research. Painful to say the least. My personal opinion of "elmo muck" doesn't depend on Mr. Abrahamson, thankfully. Thanks for the link anyway.

I have to say, he has material I wasn't aware of before, and he brings the receipts. Like how nearly every word of how Elon came to the US and his educational background is bullshit.

“…make sure a wide readership can access his research”

Linda, I disagree.Abrahamson is making sure a wide readership CANNOT access his research.I was disappointed I couldn’t read the entire article. We watch Elon’s rockets launch weekly from our backyard.Inquiring minds want to know…and share.

That's what I meant Kathy. Muck is definitely proving himself to be an extremely dangerous element...poisonous like lead.

Great article, thanks Tom.

Eisenhower warned of exactly this in his farewell address 17 Jan 1961.

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist."

"Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite."

Sounds like what's happening to me.

It's ironic that "childless" Dolly Parton donated one million dollars to hurricane relief and "childless" Taylor Swift donated five million, but the richest man in the world is jumping up in the air having orgasms on stage with Donald Trump and pulling a con on North Carolina. Cheers to everything you wrote, TC.

Abominable news and that’s a mild term… This post is stellar… Your best kind of work.

This whole proposition looks shiny and appealing on the surface, but is dastardly ridiculous with issues of transportation, delivery, electricity, ~$400 set up fee tied to one month of free Starlink but if you’re not set up for it, that time goes by in a flash and you’re stuck with this humongous bill…The whole shebang is preposterous, but also evil.

Grandson is 18, in college on the East Coast and I think it’s time to bring him on board to subscribe. My husband and I raised him and he’s brilliant, with an activist mindset — Black, LGBTQ. legacy of severe dysfunction… Complicated… But I can imagine him now, seated beside me in the car, in dialogue over the latest inhumane scams, shell games, bait and switch. (Other vocabulary is rolling through my mind, but I’m resisting the temptation… gotta maintain that third grade teacher image - LOL - Certainly don’t mind it in the newsletters though. Spot on!)

Grandson was one of Rob Hubbell‘s youngest readers in 2017 so we’ve been on board together for a long time, “with every reason to hope and no reason to be complacent!”

That's a ridiculous price for Internet service even without the promise of a freebie. I hope people are told of the 30 day limit since they can't exactly look it up without internet service. I don't get how the news of this so-called offer is being spread.

Self promotion by this guy is not remotely surprising. He is truly depraved IMHO.

If Musk is helping to finance

Snake Stephen Miller, he's

being given all the legal ins/

outs to skate around

campaign finance and buying

votes rules. There's a $

reason he's only paying $47,

somewhere in the effing fine

print of thousands of pages

in the SEC.

We MUST win in November

Musk under control, as well

as other desperately needed

reforms and updates.

Thank goodness Musk can never be president, but next best is being the puppetmaster of the POTUS. Court intrigue is being reshaped as Vance may be an unnecessary accoutrement in Trump's administration if he's elected. Trump will bypass JD and take the advice of EM. That means the coven of warlocks behind 2025 will have to work harder to 25 Trump and may delay their takeover. The magas are a bag of snakes and should be treated as such.

"To 25:" verb, transitive, meaning to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove a sitting President.

I think of that scene in Chinatown when the uncomprehending Jake questions Noah Cross about his insatiable greed and what he’s expects to get from it, and gets an incomprehensible reply, “The future, Mr. Gits,” as if it weren’t obvious. That goddamned Ronald Reagan lulled America into thinking it could trust entrepreneurs, who we’ve learned are just money grubbing, heartless creeps. The dystopia I currently inhabit was a town back then with local businesses rather than corporations, and everyone had somewhere other than the street to live. Not much of a future, if anyone’s asking.

It is a little disheartening that 80 years after the first V-2 hit London, Nazis are still launching our rockets. And not even ex-Nazis this time.

Musk jumping for joy at a Trump rally makes me wonder what’s in it for him. Like RFK Jr. what deal has been made. What’s the promise? Musk may be ineligible for the presidency but it doesn’t mean puppet Trump won’t let him pull some strings for the right price!
