Although I really thought Josh Weil would win, and I thought Gay Valimont had a chance, at least we shook those Rs paying attention up a little bit, and there's always next time - these were special elections and now these candidates' names are out there. With what will be going on between now and midterms, they should consider this their running start.
I called my two Senators to ask about their plans to "spell" Cory Booker with long questions and get some strong statements onto the floor. One had, one would yet do so. I still need to find the recordings. I called Senator Booker's office and left thanks for his herculean effort and example.
