More gifts, these from the Justice Department. So many ugly mugs with ugly minds and guns at the ready have filled our minds in recent years. To see them all brought down, how many prisons would it take to put each in a can?
It is a good Tuesday night. Thank for the twofer, TC.
well, it did in THIS case, but I'm a lot convinced about this kind of outcome illustrating any kind of universal principle. can't all of us produce long lists of occasions when justice didn't even come close to prevailing?
You just keep getting better, Tom. The only Elmer I've ever known was a Swedish immigrant near 70 years ago, who made some serious money logging after the war, and later became a Tuna fisherman out of Brookings Oregon. I'm quite sure he'd have chewed Elmer Rhodes up for Albacore bait.
right away, I think of Elmer Fudd and Elmer Borden (my way of designating the logo on the white glue). then there's Harry Elmer Barnes, the old-time right-wing cultural historian. of course, I've never been formally introduced to ANY of them. but I really do LOVE that Rhodes hates it and is stuck with it. but let's face it...I'm gonna love anything that miserable scumbag hates. and then there's Elmer Bernstein, who certainly knew a lot about scoring movies (even if he made more money from his great "Magnificent Seven" theme being used to sell Marlboros than he probably made on all the movies put together). but again, I just know OF him.
and let's not forget Elmer Gantry, the part that netted Burt Lancaster his Oscar.
I think he can. But like TC said with the walls closing in , as well as facing prison, the truth might be a better option for him. Maybe someone with more legal knowledge could weigh in about the fifth.
Thank you for posts and comments today TC. The griddle is just sizzlin’.
Elmer is such an oaf and despicable. Chew on that decision by a jury for awhile every member of the Oaf Keepers. May they choke on it. Traitors are so damn ignorant.
After Jan.6th a former Swedish ambassador to the US was confidently saying: "America has strong institutions". Learning how far Trump had actually gone to corrupt and disable these institutions, and waiting for so long, it is a great relief to hear he was right. Congratulations USA!
This outcome is delightful and even thrilling! And the felons will have plenty of time to contemplate just how they ended up in prison. Wonder if they will eventually admit to themselves they fell for a real con job, (pun intended). Is Elmer the Oaf the one whose children turned him in? Thanks TC for spreading the joy.
MAKE MY DAY!!! It seems that I heard that he has a law degree from Yale, I guess he wasn't paying much attention when they talked about breaking the law and that there would be Hell to pay, so don't do it, duh! I hope that this give's the insipid clown indigestion, something he richly deserves. Hell to pay alright ;-)
It's about time.... I hope these convictions are just the kick-off to a long and successful parade culminating with TFG suspended in the air like a Macy's balloon, tethered to a paddy wagon!

Terrific, stunning, stupendous, amazing, and absolutely glorious!
The wheels of Justice turn slowly, but eventually, Justice prevails. An historic day for Democracy.

“Oaf Keepers”. You just won the internet with that.
I feel a bit like Oliver...
“Please, sir, might I have some more?” Convictions, that is.
Yes! More! Many more!

Our good neighbor, Elmer, died last week. Our good friend, Oscar, is still alive. We will still get confused and call him Elmer.
And there was more good news today...The South Carolina Supreme Court ordered Mark Meadows to testify in the Georgia 2020 Election case!!
Yeah, the walls are closing on on all of them.
He can't plead the 5th, right?
I think he can. But like TC said with the walls closing in , as well as facing prison, the truth might be a better option for him. Maybe someone with more legal knowledge could weigh in about the fifth.
He can plead the 1st, 10th, and 23rd, but he's going down on the evidence already in DOJ's hands. The fifth doesn't prevent conviction.
(tRump that is. Don't know that Meadows is the target in this investigation.)
YES!!!
The arc of Justice bends to those who wait patiently. Proud Boys - good grief, I haven't seen any to be
proud of in that bunch - are up next.
Yes, Karma can be a bitch. Jack Smith may be Trump's Karma. One
can hope.
you mean the "radical Leftist?" when I heard TFF say THAT, I laughed so hard the lemonade flew from my nostrils.
Thank you for posts and comments today TC. The griddle is just sizzlin’.

While justice is not.
🗽
Chump did say that they looked low class, boy, was he on target with that, BBBB best description yet. Oaf keepers runner up…
Important -- the fact that there was seditious conspiracy has been established.
Yes!
YA--HOOOOOO!!!
Keep those names coming, TC. BBBB! Oaf Keepers!

No, that's a different one. He was the first one to take a trial for going inside the capitol.

Its as if they were rolling the dice, “all in” that their plot would succeed and they would be permanently enshrined by Trump into the loyalist fold
Hmmmm, just one simple miscalculation and off to the hoosegow you go
It's about time.... I hope these convictions are just the kick-off to a long and successful parade culminating with TFG suspended in the air like a Macy's balloon, tethered to a paddy wagon!
Gotta love the Brit’s sense o’ humor.🤣

Ha! That's exactly what I'm picturing in my mind! That still wins! Thanks Kathy!
This most definitely made my day!!
I'll be satisfied with the seditious conspiracy convictions of Rhodes and Meggs as long as they receive the maximum of 20 years sentence.
