This was extremely difficult for me to read. Words fail me. I cannot sufficiently express my horror at this account.

I'm going to have nightmares tonight. How is it that this monstrous dirtbag has become a celebrity, guest hosting Jeopardy, peddling his fake "cures" on the internet, whining about not being able to get crudite' at his local grocery store? And there are people who think he'd be a great useful idiot as a senator. How on earth did he manage to keep his vile practices a secret?

A puppy killer. Just another R killer. I am almost beyond being surprised at their cruelty and barbarism

What a cruel and heartless asshole! Or should I say Ozhole! I work at a large teaching and research Medical Center and this abuse would not be allowed to happen here. Go Fetterman!! You’ve got this.

I hope this information is widely publicized. My heart trembles just reading about the puppies.

UPDATE: Surprise surprise, what did I find in my email today? A Fetterman fundraiser. Topic - THIS! With additional oppo research that his experimentation, which led to the Feds dropping him as a candidate for grants, KILLED 300 DOGS including the litter of puppies.

Smart move, Lt Governor, especially the shot of you with your two dogs. If there's one thing that is "bipartisan" nowadays it's dislike of puppy killers.

People who abuse animals have serious mental health problems. I don’t care if you are running cardiac experiments; abuse is still abuse. His medical license should be revoked. He’s more than an oily snake salesman; he’s a criminal.

And individuals who abuse animals are more likely to become batterers. Fetterman will provide

a Safe Haven for the people of Penn.

it was difficult for me to read as well. my comments here often feature stuff about my dogs, and, while not even close to being a misanthrope, if I had to choose between being in a room with humans or dogs, the dogs would win. this shit is really vile, and it's impossible to argue that we're somehow "more evolved" today because twenty years ago is no time at all.

and as far as I know, it wouldn't have occurred to him to run for the Senate had TFF not suggested it.

my doctor is always saying that surgeons are very often really shitty physicians because they're not especially good at talking to people who are conscious. most of my own experiences with surgeons have been very good, but the assholes among them have been FLAMING assholes. like, burning up.

this kind of thing is unspeakable, so I'll shut up for now.

Your experience with surgeons is the same as mine.

OMG I can''t believe this was allowed. This man should be treated the same way he treated those dogs!

I do NOT "LIke" this.

"In the letter, Sweetland recounts the last 29 days in the life of a dog used in one of Oz’s experiments, based on what she describes as 6,313 records from the dog’s file. After weeks of improper eating, urination, bowel movements, and wound care, the last day is described:

“Day 29: Does not want to come out of cage, right hind leg swollen; catheter out; chewed through [tube], not eating, breathing very labored, no stool, tried to feed - will not eat anything; p.m. Mehmet Oz took for last experiment.”

The USDA did not follow up on the later allegations from 2004, and neither did Columbia’s internal review. When Dell’Orto took her concerns to then-head veterinarian Popilskis, he told her “You still don’t understand do you? It’s all political.”

In other words, Oz could do whatever he wanted without being questioned because of his celebrity status."

Excerpting and sharing. Thanks, I think, TC.
