Let's not forget "her emails" which allowed "he who shall not be named" to befoul the White House for four long years. These useless asswipes seem to have no idea that they'll be the first ones packed off to reeducation camps if he's elected.

Thanks for your continued excellent coverage, TC!

🤔 it’s almost like voters are responding positively to Biden’s middle finger to the DC press. All of this is playing out in the comments sections of Substack and America’s largest newspapers and man is there a diversity of viewpoints in this country right now! When we see the tide truly shift will be when the comments move overwhelmingly to *STFU, media*. From what I’m reading - and now with new polls - the vibes are moving in the right direction. With Joe out there, healthy and defiant, positive economic news, Project 2025 finally getting some sunlight, Donny’s continued lunacy, the RNC convention this week and whatever man wins the rose and gets to be the new sacrificial la, errr, VP, hopefully this nonsense will die down some and Joe can get back at it without the media being up his ass every second of every day.

Any of the MSM that wants to be up his ass are going to discover themselves being shit on big time. As for me, like most of us here, I’m going to have his back until it’s over, and for the good of the nation the insipid bastard aka the orange turd is locked in prison for the rest of his life. 🙏

Thanks TC. We need to see more and more of this from everyone who has an audience and a voice. MSM won’t do it. Just because the NYT featured a great editorial doesn’t mean they will begin writing truthful articles. I wish I could have been in Detroit. Onward and upward Joe!

I hollered and screamed so loudly throughout Biden's speech from my home "Up North" I think I could have been heard all the way to Toledo.

Me too, Mary Pat! I hollered and shouted in the car. I am so sick and tired of the media and celebrities saying that Biden should drop out, but they have NO strong actionable alternative. My mother used to tell me that I should keep my mouth shut unless I had a better idea, that I shouldn't criticize. She was right!

Yes! Wise mothers! Miss my mom.

It's almost as if certain large donors to the Democratic Party think that rich white men should get to make all the decisions. Never mind what all the primary voters and small dollar donors and unions may think...

Unfortunately this is nothing new, and Citizens United made it worse.

I thought MSNBC had finally seen the light, got the message from the voters, and turned a corner after Ari's show with Michael Steele weighing in and then the full airing of that stirring rally in Detroit. However, as usual, Alex and Steph came on, dusted off their scripts from the week before, recited all the old talking point and got themselves TURNED OFF on my TV, followed by more emails from me to their network. I realize I'm just one person, but I'm not giving up on those emails, even if they end up in a spam folder.

You are soooo right, Ellen.

Ellen, I cut the cable. Every one of the cable news networks is motivated by profit. They get none of my money

What has happened to the news journalism profession that they seem to have universally forgotten their role to report the news and not proffer their 'opinions' rather than the facts. Journalists have an ethical duty to not interfere in what they observe and report. Walter Cronkite would be aghast at what passes for 'reporting the news' today. And for all the hand-wringering politicians and big ticket donors who say Biden can't win. The voters get to decide that...not them. My vote goes to the candidate that will preserve our constitution and democratic form or government.

I just watched Biden's Detroit speech on Youtube..... Holy shit! Where was this guy on June 27th.....? If he had been in Atlanta, so many Democratic diapers would still be dry today. If THIS guy keeps showing up, the other side will have the ride of their lives, and then lose, bigly.....

I wouldn't be surprised if he was suffering from bronchitis. Christmas a year ago, I was hit hard by a cold virus that developed into bronchitis and laid me out for at least 10 days. It's very rare for me to get that sick, I have a pretty robust immune system (I was not quite 79 at that time). For days, I felt exhausted, unable to think as clearly as normally, and I had only taken a one week trip to be with family in the holidays!

I'm appalled at how many people, people who should know better, have taken the sad experience of the debate (during which, I've read, Biden also was being bombarded by Trump's voice even though his mic was off) as representative of Biden and not the Biden we had been seeing before and during his multiple trips to/from Europe and his NATO press conference and a number of campaign speeches where Biden is back to the man we've seen prior to that debate. His campaign speech yesterday in Detroit shows who he is and will be in his second term. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uE7mDPX_jmk

The Project 2025 cabal needs to be vanquished. They've hitched their wagon to Trump who needs to know that they are as likely to turn on him as he is on them. They could scoop him out of office with the 25th amendment should he win, and that may even be their plan (Pay attention to who gets the VP nod. Probably sellout Vance.). They are a treacherous and traitorous bunch, which means the Dems have to be rock solid team players because any gaps will be quickly filled with right wing and

Russian disinformation.

Remember: Biden can live to be almost 100 like Jimmy Carter, and Trump could stroke out tonight. No gaurantees for any of us.

"We the people" took baby steps toward taking democracy seriously after 2016. I'm hoping that Project 2025 will wake more of us up. We *shouldn't* need a weatherman to know what way the wind blows, but with Project 2025 and Trump himself we're out of excuses.

Take a look/listen to Beau of the 5th column video regarding this. He makes the point that back in 2010(thereabouts) Biden's 10 worst gaffs were listed in one of the major news magazines.

See - gaffes are nothing new nor related to his age!!! As Beau said - all these questions as to why he didnt talk about this earlier? Because its not news!

Spot on, Tom. My favorite quotes were the ones you gave us from Jim Clyburn, especially "When I became a man I put away childish things. Joe Biden has put away childish things because he has become a man. His opponent is still a child.” And a child that still throws tantrums if he doesn't get his lollypop right now.

"major donors will put on hold “roughly $90 million in pledged donations”." To put the 'major donors' in perspective, $1.50 from everyone who voted for Biden in 2020 would eclipse that total and generate a whole new story about who had support where.

I pledged $25/month to Biden some months back and will up it to $50/mo. as soon as my current credit card period closes - donated a LOT to many Senate candidates this past month so it has really added up.

That's all it's going to take. I've done the same for Biden and am supporting a candidate against Hawley who appears to have a chance as well as Blue Missouri, an umbrella organization that helps fund local candidates to run against Republicans who are used to being unopposed.

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TC!!! (Yes, it’s doable to both celebrate and keep pressing forward at the same time!) There’s lots of good afoot. Your piece about jet lag effects, the Kennedy/Khrushchev meeting, how world events and lives were hugely affected as a consequence… I hope those readers you referenced are circulating the narrative to wake up minds to these dynamics, how these things work… Biden in Detroit was masterful, awesome to witness. Onward!!!

Enough people are telling the pundits to pound sand that I'm feeling hope once more. Let's not forget that the world leaders that met with the President at the NATO summit, to a person, talked about how sharp and how well-informed the President was in his meetings with them. Yes, his body is 81 years old and shows that sometimes, but his mind is as sharp as ever, and ultimately the presidency is a mental profession, not a physical one.

My other argument for age not mattering is Michael DeBakey, MD, the pioneering cardiac surgeon. He went into practice in 1932 and didn't stop practicing for 75 years. He was researching and publishing peer-reviewed papers well into his 90s. Medicine is unforgiving, and cardiac surgery especially so, so for Dr. DeBakey to have practiced as long as he did says a great deal.

A writer friend of mine was also an Army cardiac surgeon. After he retired, he kept being called back to duty, most recently when he was 75: he was flown to Germany to work on war casualties. He died earlier this year at age 90. I continue to be inspired by his example. He never stopped learning, and he never stopped giving back.
