As one who's chronicled history in your work, Tom, I am grateful for your work and that of other historians who are sounding the alarm. Unfortunately that maga cult believe they know enough by reading tee shirts, red caps, bumper stickkers and banners and there are enough rallies and radio shows ro reinforce their belonging to a movement. That it's fascism matters not to them because belonging is what matters most, especially when that belonging is in opposition to some other group. Still, the warning sirens by writers and others bold enough to speak out is critical.
(Perhaps the solution is to use that NRA tactic of warning that Obama was coming for your guns and just keep whispering loudly that Biden is coming for your books, but only the ones you haven't read.)
