Dear Kittynapper, I've had computer problems up the wazoo. I didn't care about what was said about Trump or Musk, but for the Kittynapper and Bastet, I have all the time in the world. Oh, her coat, when you finally let us see...she's a beauty, indeed. You sure know how to love and care for the kitties, TC, and wow, they know it and give their share to Jurate and you.

Such a beautiful coat.

So you had a messed up brother, too? Mine was into meth. Sigh....

Precious Penelope is my second calico. She has just gotten over a terrible health issue. Today she began challenging me to a snuggle fest and knocking things off of tables and such. Life is good again.

My sweetest cat, Weasel was a beautiful long haired torty😊. Gone but hopefully I will make it to the Rainbow Bridge where she will be awaiting me next to her friend Girard🐈

Shes so beautiful - on my way to take Axel for a walk & feed wildlife but saw that picture & had to say something! Smurf (no longer Tonia) is settling in - eating well etc. Have shut her in her room at night to avoid "issues" with Pookie - Smurf isnt thrilled about that & STARVED in the morning! But till the fascination with Pookie eases - thats how it has to be. Shes a real sweetheart - talks & purrs & laps.

NOW have to get going!

A small bowl of dry food and a small bowl of water when you put her in the room (plus a catbox) will likely improve her attitude.

She has her litter box, a bowl of water, bowl of dry food AND gets canned food am & pm. That part of her attitude is taken care of believe me. I would never shut her away without all of that. She just wants to be free to roam the whole house at night - and possibly irritate (or worse) the bird!

Ah, got it now. The extra added information helped.

Plus her carrier with a blanket inside where she sleeps! Now that surprised me = considering the carrier is what removes her from one place or another.

To my experience of people with an Asperger diagnosis you have an exceptional level of empathy. It seems these cats have put you in a training camp for your mirror neurons to develop empathy. Cats in a coordinated effort, each sorting out a space for themselves! Wow!

When I was kid, my cats were really my best friends, certainly the most reliable, since I couldn't figure out humans that well. (still can't)

What a wonderful life you gave her and she gave you. Calicoes are neurotic little creatures ( we have one), goofy, jumpy but so loving. On her terms.

I think that's why women except for you and other cool guys are cat lovers. Some people crave the attention dogs give them. Cats are like "fuck you, I'll trust you on MY terms". Some women are cool with that because we fight for independence like they do.

My husband said “no cats” but they kept finding us. And they always gravitated to him. And he loved it.

I am so glad that you are continuing with the Feline Fridays. Bastet is indeed a goddess. Thanks for all the photos. Although I have had torties, my goddess was a beautiful blue-eyed, part siamese who meditated with me, came to the door to greet visitors, didn’t like other cats but loved me. Sophia was beautiful inside and out.

Such a grateful beauty, so sad about your bro. Have you ever written about your mother? You are truly a cat whisperer. I have three now, and a pic of them on the bed shows two kitties and one lump, as Lulu likes to sleep undercover. How many in your clan now? Hopefully enough to give purring comfort

The closest I come to writing about my mother is the occasional post about why I don't celebrate Mother's Day.

When I worked at public schools, I met some who I felt should have never been around anybody under 18. Toxic and destructive and kids always think it’s them. I saw some even turn into copies of those same parents, usually by around 11th grade. Sad and shocking to me, but probably would not have been to Freud.

Oh TC. Hahahahahaha. That is one of the funniest sad things ever written. I just love you.

So where did you get your mothering? For the man you are, it had to come from somewhere.
