The political stake in FL is a stake in the heart of science, public education, sanity, public health, women’s rights, civil rights, and all that is right for Floridians. Just in time for Halloween. We are working incredibly hard to support Nikki Fried and Charlie Crist for Governor in 2022 and Val Demings for US Senator. I, personally, prefer to see Fried and Crist run on a ticket together. I also prefer to see a ticket somewhere that has a Democrat and Republican on same ticket. Damn the political roadblocks and primaries for such an idea. I’ve said it before and I will say it again. Any ticket I vote for is pro democracy. Any ticket I vote against us anti democracy. I actually am encouraging any Republican I am in discourse with to switch party affiliation to NPA. And there are many of them doing so.
Desantis and Ladapo and Corcoran are an insult to every molecule that constitutes intelligence in a brain.

I had replied to yesterday's newsletter before I read this one, highlighting the insanity here in Florida. And Governor DeathSantis will be calling a special legislative session to put laws into effect barring mask and vaccine mandates. He also is threatening to take Florida out of OSHA (can he even do that?) because that is the agency that can put the vaccine mandates in place. This state is worse than people realize and DeathSantis is in a race to out Abbot Governor Abbott.

They’ve done a good job of polluting Tampa Bay because of the Piney Point disaster. Millions of gallons of poison dumped in the Bay.
