"Either Cruz is so dumb he really does not know, or he’s so scummy that he does not care." Could we just settle for Dumb Scum?

Whatever else Ted Cruz is: coward, traitor, soulless power-monger, liar, and scum he is not dumb. He simply lacks any ethical or moral compass. He's addicted to the idea that he can rule.

Oh yes, my screenwriting mentor, the Hollywood Legend, once said to me that "The villain of the story ALWAYS has the BEST reasons of anyone for why he is doing what he does. Villainy for the sake of villainy is not only untrue, it is completely boring."

Someone probably bullied him and he decided to burn the world down with lies and deceptions. Too bad he isn't the evil mastermind he thinks he is. "I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee that says, 'Fool me once, shame on ... shame on you. Fool me... You can't get fooled again!'"

Hmm. That’s a dang hot griddle, TC. And it is sizzlin.

Yes, the griddle is so hot, that I made sure to find just a bit of time yesterday on my birthday to put in a call to Santa….Reaching him gratefully in the reindeer barn tending to the coursers that will fly this month.

When we connected, I let him know what’s on my mind regarding the Naughty List this year. I think I heard a restrained chuckle when I asked that the lumps of coal this year find themselves up the bahooties of the flailing, greedy , withered soul traitors and that he put a lit match to them before whisking up the chimneys. In whatever country they reside.

Request sent and received. After all, Santa is the international traveler of the globe.

And of course, since I am blessed to find him most years when I call the North Pole, I got some needed reassurance of how tremendously shiny and glowing the Nice List is this year. Nary a thing is ever lost on Santa or Mrs Claus. Such warriors for the Light.

HoHoHo!

I knew that beneath every rock would probably be a slimy piece of Putin residue, but I didn't know of these Texas groups. No wonder it's so difficult for sanity to get traction here. These scumbags are everywhere!

A Texas friend once pointed out to me that Texas is a magnifying glass - whatever you look at looks bigger because it is in Texas. Texas Assholes are the biggest assholes, and Texas Good People are the biggest Good People (to which I replied, Yes, because it's so hard to do that there). You are on my list of Texas Good People. In this case, the list isn't in Texas, so it isn't the biggest, but it is the best.

“The problems are not in our politics. The problems are in our culture. Politics is just the most visible symbol.” How true! Politics are how people act out their values in public. However, they think others will not recognize that. Ex: R’s claiming to be the party that values the family, but passes anti-family legislation or refuses to pass legislation that would help families like universal pre-K or childcare. The list is endless because they have no shame.

Cruz continues to be merely an insufferable opportunist who will go down on anybody if it serves him. Accordingly the “yet” addition to his comment is really just his way of saying he hasn’t been pegged, yet. Doesn’t mean he will. Doesn’t mean he won’t.

But you’ve got understand that in TX no GOP politician can receive the state’s party funding AND say “in no instance would I support secession.” At least until the new Austinite’s takeover the state (can’t be far off but the Dem party in the state has got to shift from assuming they continually have the Hispanic vote because … they don’t).

How I wish you were wrong. Such slithering, insufferable, smelly, slimeballs. I wish I didn’t have to hold back in my assessment.
