Kamala wiped the floor with that psychopath. Just absolutely crushed him. Yet there are still people going to vote for him which drives me effing crazy.

Rita, yes indeed, ‘still people going to vote for him’, which is even hard to write! It’s called many things …. I’m sure Tom can supply a few tasty morsels…but basically it’s inertia.

With clenched teeth and fists, they’ll

folllw this ….. (can’t say it) down down down the cess pool.

And wtf with some people like Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs??? His blonde bimbo wife "likes" several posts on Trump's trash social. Then Mahomes says he's not going to endorse anyone because that's "what makes America great". It's a dog whistle to MAGA. Someone wrote, "we can't let politics divide friendships". I think that's what German Jews said when Hitler was elected. You're either for democracy or not. Ok, rant over.

Mahomes needs to be sent to the medical tent to be checked for concussion, and his wife needs to be ignored because it's not nice to stare and laugh at the mentally challenged. Things are socially tidy when folks self-identify.

Mahomes has free fallen in my eyes. Any respect or admiration I had for him - POOF, gone.

Absolutely.

It ain't a lost election for Trump until WE win it! Let's turn to and get this thing done. We need the Blue Wall (PA, WI, MI) for 270, at least 2-3 swing states for insurance.

Expand full comment

We need to win it, and a bunch of House and Senate races, and then we need to *stay active*!

Once we get Dems in power, we need to lean on them to get them to do the right things.

Expand full comment

Yes we do -- and my #1 concern at this point is how the Dems talk about issues like rebuilding the middle class and strengthening unions without mentioning how they were gutted by Reaganomics. The billionaires and mega-multi-millionaires, not to mention the Federalist Society, the Heritage Foundation, the Cato Institute, etc., aren't going to give up without a fight.

I filled out 100 letters to voters in swing states (GA, PA) last weekend. And I just finished another 100 letters this week. They are quick to write! A greeting ("Dear Lesley"), a short personal message ("I want to be part of a movement for change."), your own name ("Bob").

Then, address the envelope, put your first name and "Vote Forward" as the return address, put a first-class U.S. postal stamp on it, and it's ready to be mailed *before October 22* so it has time to be delivered and for the recipient to open and read it.

11 times, they say. 11 times a person needs to be "touched" (texted, called, emailed), on average, to get them to vote. I'm doing one of 'em.

And... I did a batch of letters to NY-04. According to Ballotpedia:

“You could argue that just because of the makeup of the district that that’s the best Democratic House target in the whole country.”

I’m taking a break from writing postcards to Arizona. Thank you to everyone who is contacting voters by whatever method.

And as usual he never did answer the questions asked by David Muir. How could he? It was a Republican Senator Langford (OK) along with Sinema (AZ) who actually wrote the bipartisan Border Act after, I believe 4 months, of intensive negotiations between Democrats and Republicans. Lsngford was so furious he actually criticized trump for killing the bill because he wanted t use the border in his campaigning against Biden (he hoped)

You know how Trump is forever accusing people of things he does himself? I just read "Our country is being lost. We're a failing nation," which he says at least once in every speech, and it dawned on me: Maybe he's talking about himself? Maybe deep down he knows he's the one who's "lost" and "failing"?

He does speak in projections, and every accusation is a confession.

To see all that written out really drives home how crazy he is....... One can only hope the sane people in this country who are not on the Kamala Train hop on board!!! The tide seems to be turning with the new polls. Thanks for all you do, Tom, to bring this to us each day. Kamala has T's number---what a debate performance.

As was pointed out on PBS yesterday, if you hear about multiple suspicious pet disappearances in your neighborhood, who do you contact? Your local police, animal control, etc.? Or your US Senator? (JD Vance says he got calls. I wonder if Sherrod Brown got calls, too.)

In my neighborhood many people keep pets indoors, especially at night, because there are coyotes coming around sometimes.

Watching television reports of people eating pets and Kennedy's roadkill fills the depth of Trump's intellect. He would get all his current events info from video games if he could, but, alas, his aged reflexes and erratic blood pressure keep him from being a gamer. He's definitely on the far side of the hill now, an argument his lawyers will make to get him a light sentence. He would have been ushered off the world stage some time ago, but his enablers are too invested now, perhaps even to the point where after his death they'd pay him the high compliment of moving his lacquered corpse around on a handtruck a la "Weekend at Bernie's" because, well, they're not just fans; they're identity parasites.

I’ve never seen such a masterful dismantling of one’s debate opponent.

VP Harris played Trump like a fiddle at a hillbilly hoedown.

If someone watched that debate and said, "I can't vote for Kamala Harris because I just don't agree enough with her views," I might understand that. But the same person would still have been willing to vote for her opponent because of their agreement. And if they say, "I can't vote for him, either," then the question is why you hate the Constitution. Is it that simple? Yup.

In Arizona yesterday, Trump

had a crowd of approximately

550 MAGAs.

In NC yesterday, Kamala

Harris had a 17,000 seat

auditorium packed solid.

But hey, we all know the

Harris campaign bused in

and paid these 17k people.

🤣 Trump could only afford

550. Slim pickings in Trump

land.

She had a 22,000 and a 9,000 seat stadium filled yesterday (two events). I dig she wears Converse.

Rita got it right. There are still millions of those 67 million and untold millions more out there in TV Land that are OKAY with the psychopath’s performance! They think he’s a "stable genius" and that Kamala had microphones in her earrings! I know a local retired fireman in my town who actually believes this bullshit. Yikes! We live in a loony bin with a lunatic running for president and a a Press Corpse that thinks this situation is normal! I hate to say it, but it feels like Armageddon is just around the corner!
