Never fear, the readers of TAFM have not been forgotten.
I have been busy rewriting the current book project, having finally figured out what was bothering me about the way I was going at it. Since it has to be in next month, that has writing priority.
When I am not doing that, I am visiting Jurate at the hospice. I can report that it looks to me like things will be coming to a proper conclusion “soon.” They took her off morphine because she told them she wasn’t in pain. The final insult of Parkinson’s is to lose the ability to swallow, and that has happened. She isn’t eating much, and gets water from ice chips in her mouth that melt at a speed she can deal with. She doesn’t talk now, but last week she could speak to me intelligibly enough to tell me she knew she was dying, that she wanted to be let go, and that she loved me. I told her I loved her, and I know we have now forgiven each other for the many things on a long list, and we are at peace with one another. She sleeps now except when they wake her to give her something.
In the meantime, entertain yourselves with the best Superbowl ad I have seen in a very long time. It’s so good it’s now playing on regular rotation on other shows. Whoever came up with this and got the guys to go for it (I am sure they were well-compensated) should get a big promotion. I’ve never heard of the product before, but on the basis of the ad, I think I will buy a bag out of curiosity. I guess there’s now seven, since “the word” was given to do that here.
In the meantime, there are some posts in-progress that will appear soon.

You and your love Jurate have not been forgotten. Take your time to do what’s most important. We will wait. 💔
We figured Jurate is your priority right now. You are both lucky to have had that last loving conversation. Don't worry, we will wait.
