Thank you. I love how you get to the nitty-gritty and explain it all.

I think your readers would appreciate what Anand Giridhardas in his "The Ink" Substack is doing about what he has coined "The Epstein Class". He doesn't dwell on the sex, but follows connectors from there. He explains - convincingly, I thought - why people like Profs. Chomsky and Summers might be in the same tranche of exchanges as the pedophiles. It's about having someone to remove the 'friction' from your life. Most of the really Big Boys - the oligarchs - hate friction above all, and don't have to deal with it. They don't stand in airport lines, for instance, or have to look for a parking space. Money alone won't get your kid into Trinity private school in Manhattan. But if you KNOW someone - even someone who knows someone - who can make that happen - that's power that money can't necessarily buy.

He also points out that many/most of these people have no community. They have houses all ovet, but aren't connected to anyone. More food for thought.
