The results of the training exercise in Germany shouldn’t be a surprise. In two previous NATO exercises in the last 2 years, Ukrainian drone units pretty much wiped the floor with the NATO units. The exercises (in Sweden and Estonia) had to be reset several times by the referees because of the Ukrainians’ overwhelming success.
A better statement of what I was saying: “Three separate NATO-linked exercises over roughly fourteen months — Combined Resolve, Hedgehog and Aurora 26 — all ended the same way, with small Ukrainian drone teams defeating far larger American, British, Estonian and Swedish formations.”
Our military was designed as a defensive military, and by its very nature meant that every sailor, pilot, jumper, ground pounders, et. al, had a personal stake in executing successful military ventures. Defense drives virtuous participation. Turning the military into attack machines--to what end?--has to mess with their minds. Tom's sailor-talk ("worthless mofo...) description of Trump today has probably been mouthed numerous times daily by the crew of the USS Lincoln.
