It’s not just the judges they are going after. Alleged AG Pam Blondie is preparing to lock up journalists, stating in a memo this past weekend: “Safeguarding classified, privileged, and other sensitive information is essential to effective governance and law enforcement. Fed govt employees intentionally leaking sensitive information to the media undermines the ability of the DOJ to uphold the rule of law, protect civil rights, and keep America safe. This conduct is illegal and wrong, and it must stop. Therefore, I have concluded that it is necessary to rescind Merrick Garland's policies precluding DOJ from seeking records and compelling testimony from members of the news media in order to identify and punish the source of improper leaks.” PINO has called for this repeatedly in the past. Under this new policy, reporters will now be subpoenaed before grand juries and asked to reveal their anonymous sources. When they refuse, they will be jailed for contempt. This is going to lead to more very high stakes First Amendment lawsuits against Maladministration II. PINO’s former criminal defense lawyer, now Deputy AG Todd Blanche: “The era of anonymous leaks and shielded sources protecting anti-Trump operatives is over. This DOJ is done looking the other way. We will hold leakers - wherever they are - fully accountable. No more safe havens in federal agencies.”

Going after the independent judiciary, check. Going after the independent press, check. Going after democratic government, check. The fascist revolution continues, folks. A few years ago, Don Jr. Started a website called Public Square. The site contains a listing of MAGA-friendly businesses who, according to Junior, “share our values.” It has now become a right-wing Craigslist with lawyers, doctors, plumbers, and other trades listed. But it has also become a handy guide for people who want to boycott MAGA businesses. Reddit user “Jeff” started a viral movement recently by making anti-Trump consumers aware of the site: “MAGA has made it easy for all of us to avoid their businesses. A couple years ago, they introduced a website – publicsq.com — to promote MAGA businesses. We can use that same tool to make informed purchasing decisions. If a business is listed on the site, it’s not a fluke. It’s on purpose.” Public Square’s stock has fallen over 50% so far this year. Jeff: “The vast majority of people said, ‘I had no idea. I can’t believe this or that business is on there. I’m never going there again.’ I’d say 90% of responses are of that ilk. Right now, so many decisions are being made that affect our lives that are outside of our control, and many people feel helpless. The ability to make purchasing decisions that align with our values is one thing we can do.” (I wasn’t able to find any businesses near me on the list, another argument for living in California.)

From the Department of They’re Really Not Kidding: Michael Jackson Nose enthusiast Karoline Leavitt was asked about pausing the writ of habeas corpus at a hastily announced press briefing on Monday morning focused on immigration. After her opening remarks, Leavitt directed the first question to right-wing political commentator Rogan O’Handley, who goes by “DC Draino” online.O’Handley was ready with his written question in hand. He blasted what he called “radical judges” whom he accused of giving more due process to undocumented immigrants than American citizens. “Many are now calling for Trump to circumvent these radical judges and consider suspending the writ of habeas corpus solely for these illegal aliens,” O’Handley said. “Can you please let us know if and when the Trump administration is planning to suspend the writ of habeas corpus to circumvent these radical judges who are infringing on his Article II powers and to start shipping out illegals en masse?” he asked. Leavitt claimed that she had not heard such discussions taking place. “I can assure you that the president and the entire administration are certainly open to all legal and constitutional remedies to ensure we can continue with the promise of deporting illegal criminals from our nation’s borders. The president is trying to simply enforce our nation’s immigration laws and is facing roadblock after roadblock.” Article I of the Constitution stat es: “The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it.” Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked, “As you guys look at other judges, would you ever arrest somebody higher up on the judicial food chain, like a federal judge or even a Supreme Court justice?”.Leavitt replied that no judge is safe from the administration’s crackdown on the judiciary. “Anyone who is breaking the law or obstructing federal law enforcement officials is putting themselves at risk of being prosecuted, absolutely.”

From the Department of They Are Definitely Not Kidding About Their Coup: It was announced this morning that PINO will sign an executive order that will direct his administration to draw up a list of sanctuary cities that are not complying with federal immigration laws in an effort to crack down on local governments not cooperating with his actions. The order will direct AG Pam Blondie and DHS Secretary ICE Barbie Kristi Noem to “provide a list of sanctuary cities in which local officials are not complying with this federal order and are not complying with federal immigration laws.” Karoline Leavitt added that the published list will include “state and local jurisdictions that obstruct the enforcement of federal immigration laws.” “It’s quite simple — obey the law, respect the law, and don’t obstruct federal immigration officials and law enforcement officials when they are simply trying to remove public safety threats from our nation’s communities.” Trump will also sign another executive order on Monday that aims to “strengthen and unleash America’s law enforcement to pursue criminals and protect innocent citizens,” Leavitt said. PINO is expected to sign the orders at 5 p.m. As of today, PINO has signed more than 140 executive order in his first 100 days in office, according to the White House. Every one of them are performative bullshit without the backing of any law, or are based on willful misinterpretations of laws. A federal judge last week ruled PINO’s previous order that directed Blondie and ICE Barbie to ensure “sanctuary” jurisdictions “do not receive access to federal funds” is likely unconstitutional.

From the Department of The Really Really Really Are Not fucking Kidding: In the Western District of Texas, Trump-appointed U.S. District Judge David Briones ordered the immediate release of a Venezuelan couple that Maladministration II had swept up in its Alien Enemies Act detentions. In a scathing opinion, Briones became the first judge in the country to rule that Maladministration II had wrongly designated detainees as enemy aliens, finding the the government had presented nothing but unsubstantiated accusations against the DC-area couple that they were members of the Tren de Aragua gang. “This Court takes clear offense to Respondents wasting judicial resources to admit to the Court it has no evidence,” Briones wrote. This played out against the backdrop of an extraordinary March 14 memo by Pam Blondie - obtained by USA Today - in which she expressly told law enforcement there would be no due process for Alien Enemies Act detainees. “An alien determined to be an Alien Enemy and ordered removed under the Proclamation and 50 U.S.C. § 21 is not entitled to a hearing before an immigration judge, to an appeal of the removal order to the Board of Immigration Appeals, or to judicial review of the removal order in any court of the United States.” The memo dated the same day as PINO’s Alien Enemies Act proclamation was meant to operationalize the AEA detentions, which we now know had been underway for weeks and which culminated with the notorious March 15 deportation flights. The in-your-face lawlessness in the deportation cases has a silver lining - it has quickly made plain to judges nationwide not just how much is at stake but how fast and loose Maladministration II is playing with the rule of law.

The Democrats did everything possible to destroy Christopher Columbus, his reputation, and all of the Italians that love him so much. They tore down his Statues, and put up nothing but ‘WOKE,’ or even worse, nothing at all! Well, you’ll be happy to know, Christopher is going to make a major comeback. I am hereby reinstating Columbus Day under the same rules, dates, and locations, as it has had for all of the many decades before!” FACT CHECK: Columbus was a mass-murderer ofthe indigenous population, a thief, a kidnapper, an enslaver, a torturer, and an incompetent governor-general who was despised by his own men and fellow officers and died penniless after being imprisoned. He also never set foot in what is now America. The only argument make that he deserves some kind of special recognition is for his navigational skills - he ended up in the Bahamas instead of India like he planned. Not June. Does the fact that this idiot was a supporter of the January 6, 2021 seditious conspiracy - and is thus revealed as a fucking moron too stupid to find her ass with both hands on a clear day with a two hour advance notice - have anything to do with her being an incompetent idiot on everything else? I suspect the answer to that is a big YES.

I always hate hearing news like this for anyone (which is why I was so happy last Thursday to get an email from my friend Roy Cash Jr. informing me his wife Billie - who has been undergoing aggressive chemo for cancer since last November - was declared cancer-free that morning). However, this news about Connolly means that there will be another election among Democrats to name a Democrat to take the senior position on the committee. Here’s hoping they get it right this time and elect AOC, who will definitely Kick Trumpscum Ass if she gets elected.

The United States imports as much as 75% of the toy products it sells from China, according to the U.S. Commerce Department, making it one of the industries most reliant on that country’s supply chain. Along with sports equipment and games, it is the fourth-largest import category from that nation. As a result, toy industry officials are warning U.S. consumers to expect higher prices and fewer choices this year, including for the holidays, as a result of Trump’s tariffs. “Christmas is in danger,” said Greg Ahearn, president and CEO of the Toy Association, the industry’s principal trade group. He said production in China continues to slow every time Trump ratchets up the tariffs on that country. And it’s happening at an inopportune time. Traditionally, production starts to ramp up around this point of the year for goods to be ready for the fall and winter shopping season, he said. As to following Maladministration II’s advice to “make your product in America,” Chinese toy manufacturing expertise has been honed through decades of experience, and the U.S. industry’s supply chain has become dependent on molds, dyes, labor and safety techniques that are uniquely found there. Cases have now been confirmed in 29 states. Six states ― Kansas, Michigan, New Mexico, Ohio and Texas ― have reported outbreaks, meaning there are three or more related cases. Texas has seen a rise of 22 cases since Tuesday, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services. Data from the CDC shows that 97% of cases in the U.S. came from people who are unvaccinated or whose vaccination status is unknown. “Due to the highly contagious nature of this disease, additional cases are likely to occur in the outbreak area and the surrounding communities,” the Texas Department of State Health Services said in its latest update. He told Republican lawmakers to take a harsher stance against “infiltrators” after Republican Rep. Mike Lawler’s town hall in Rockland County, New York quickly went off the rails on Sunday night. As soon as Lawler took the stage at his town hall, the packed auditorium erupted into a mix of cheers and jeers, leaving the congressman no choice but to stand in silence until the crowd settled down. The first big clash of the night was over the Pledge of Allegiance, according to The New York Times. The congressman, who is also a regular CNN panelist, was met with groans when he asked the crowd to recite the pledge. “Please tell me you’re not objecting to the Pledge of Allegiance,” he said. Initially, the Ohio-based company said it planned to close roughly 530 underperforming stores. Then, in February, the retailer announced all of its stores would shutter after the GA Joann Retail Partnership — comprised of financial services company GA Group and term lenders for JOANN — won a bidding process for the company’s assets. The remaining JOANN stores, totaling more than 500, are on track to close by the end of May. If you are interested in shopping JOANN’s closing sales, you’re encouraged to shop in stores. The company has warned against the fake websites posing as JOANN’s that have popped up since the bankruptcy filing. From the Department of Take That, Elmo (SLAP): Lawmakers in New York state are moving to shut down Elon Musk’s Tesla dealerships in yet another blow to Elmo. State Sen. Patricia Fahy and other lawmakers are fighting to remove a waiver that allows Tesla to operate five in-person dealerships in New York, instead forcing the company to sell their vehicles through dealer franchises, The New York Times reported Sunday. “No matter what we do, we’ve got to take this from Elon Musk,” Fahy said in March when she first introduced the bill against Tesla. “He’s part of an effort to go backwards.” She wants the company to relinquish its five licenses and instead distribute them to other EV manufacturers, such as Rivian, Scout Motors, and Lucid. Fahy was a champion of electric vehicle companies like Tesla opening in-person dealerships in New York, saying that an increase in EV sales would help cut emissions in the state. She now joins a growing number of Democratic officials and legislators who have drastically changed their tune on Tesla following the 2025 election, when Musk joined forces with Trump. Fahy said that Musk is “part of an administration that is killing all the grant funding for electric vehicle infrastructure, killing wind energy, killing anything that might address climate change.” “Why should we give them a monopoly?” she asked regarding Tesla, adding that this bill was her “making amends” with her previous support of the company. “The bottom line is, Tesla has lost their right to promote these when they’re part of an administration that wants to go backwards,” Fahy said. “Elon Musk was handed a privilege here.”
