Today is day 151 of the increasingly-failed attempted fascist coup against America. There are 501 days to the mid-terms.
Let’s start with not only good but Great News. Over recent months of the ICE assault on Los Angeles, the Dodgers have taken a hit for not speaking out, since there is a large Latino presence in their audience. Well, that all changed yesterday, after DHS vehicles were spotted loitering outside the venue. Social media erupted into speculation as to what the goons were doing at the stadium and broke into celebration when users learned they had been turned away. CALL TO ACTIVISM called it "a massive blow to Trump’s deportation machine," adding, "The ICE agents who attempted to gain entry at Dodger Stadium have been REFUSED entry and have been escorted out by LAPD. Good riddance." The L.A. Dodgers organization updated fans with their own post,: “This morning, ICE agents came to Dodger Stadium and requested permission to access the parking lots. They were denied entry to the grounds by the organization. Tonight’s game will be played as scheduled.” ICE, of course, has categorically denied all. CalMatters investigative reporter Sergio Olmos posted photos he took at 10:40 am outside Gate E, showing CBP vehicles right outside the gate and several agents in military garb standing around. The official DHS Xitter account posted, "This had nothing to do with the Dodgers. CBP vehicles were in the stadium parking lot very briefly, unrelated to any operation or enforcement." They’re trying as hard as they can to provoke an “insurrection” and give TACO his excuse to invoke the Insurrection Act. Corporal Couchfucker was supposed to be here next week to see what he could provoke, but after the ICE humiliation, his visit has been called off, ostensibly so he can “assist the president in dealing with the Iran crisis.”
ICE outside Dodger Stadium
Pushback against the ICE Thugocracy isn’t just happening in Los Angeles. Wednesday, the ICE Denver office posted on Xitter that the office was seeking "community’s assistance" to locate a Honduran man who "was released from Jefferson County without being turned over to ICE." Thursday, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office posted a lengthy "fact-check" of its own on X, calling ICE Denver's statement "misleading." "When we called the ICE Denver office about their misleading post, they made their position unmistakable: if we do not provide ICE extra time to coordinate inmate pickups from our facility, in violation of Colorado law, deceptive posts like yesterday’s will become the norm." Colorado law prohibits local law enforcement officers from sharing non-public information like an individual's immigration status with federal authorities.
It’s also not the first time ICE Denver has shared misleading information about local immigration actions. The Denver Post reported that ICE claimed local law enforcement declined to assist in searching for someone who escaped from the ICE detention facility in Aurora. The Aurora Police Chief told The Post that ICE didn't call 9-1-1 to report the escape until nearly five hours after it happened.
And now on to the daily dose of How Fucking Low Can These Kooky Klown Klucks Go? --
Never able to just take a win, after the three-judge panel of the Ninth circuit (two Trumpers, one Biden appointee) ruled unanimously last night that TACO exercised his authority properly in calling out the national guard and sending them to Los Angeles (Two Faux Snooze watchers and one who wants to be “fair” - what did you expect?), though they also said that what he did with the troops after calling them up is indeed subject to judicial review, TACO went to the Golden Throne in the middle of the night and rage-tweeted on Lies Anti-Social: “BIG WIN in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on the President’s core power to call in the National Guard! The Judges obviously realized that Gavin Newscum is incompetent and ill prepared, but this is much bigger than Gavin, because all over the United States, if our Cities, and our people, need protection, we are the ones to give it to them should State and Local Police be unable, for whatever reason, to get the job done. This is a Great Decision for our Country, and we will continue to protect and defend Law abiding Americans. Congratulations to the Ninth Circuit, America is proud of you tonight!” Newsom replied: “Donald Trump is not a king and not above the law. Tonight, the court rightly rejected Trump’s claim that he can do whatever he wants with the National Guard and not have to explain himself to a court. We will not let this authoritarian use of military soldiers against citizens go unchecked.” I pity the troops in DTLA, where Nothing Continues To Happen.
Floridumb Bimbo Pam Blondie has taken the most direct shot at the right of reporters to keep their information sources confidential, with new rules issued in a memo last Friday. Blondie’s memo allows investigators to go after members of the media who obtain “privileged and other sensitive information,” not just classified material, “that undermine President Trump’s policies.”
The regulations Blondie removed were put in place by Attorney General Garland; the House of Representatives voted unanimously last year to codify Garland’s regulation, in the PRESS Act (Protect Reporters and Exploitative State Spying, but it never became law since TACO called on the Senate to kill it after resuming his occupation of Whitey’s House. “The effort had bipartisan support because both parties have an interest in exposing wrongdoing inside government, especially when they are in the opposition,” according to the WaPo.
This one completely doesn’t surprise me. Along with the accusations of rape, organizational malfeasance before and after becoming SECDRUNK, financial management incompetence, public drunkenness, and general talentlessness, Pete Hegseth now stands accused of plagiarism in his Princeton senior thesis. The Daily Princetonian flagged a particular sentence in the senior thesis authored by Hegseth: "Bush looked distracted and somber but continued to listen to the second-graders." "This sentence is notable for recapping the precise moment President George W. Bush was informed of the 9/11 attacks. But it is also notable because it is nearly identical to one published by The Washington Post in 2001, two years before Hegseth wrote his thesis," the bombshell report states. "A review of Hegseth’s thesis by The Daily Princetonian, in consultation with three experts on plagiarism, found eight instances of uncredited material, sham paraphrasing, and verbatim copying." Once a worthless piece of shit, always a worthless piece of shit.
Another Surprisesurprise! (Not): The MAGAts spent Juneteenth on social media protesting the very existence of the federal holiday that celebrates the end of slavery in the United States, while TACO went about his business like it was any other day. Among others, The Federalist linked to an article titled "Park Service Wrongly Celebrates Juneteenth As ‘National Independence Day.'" The article went on to say, "The rhetoric around Juneteenth celebrations is clearly intended to compete with and marginalize the Fourth of July." Podcast host Tara Dublin wrote, "Any Republicans tweeting about #Juneteenth need to STFU when they’re all fine with hanging the Confederate flag & restoring the names of Confederate Generals for military bases while trying to whitewash American history." Historian Jon Meacham posted, "The fact that Trump can’t even celebrate slavery ending is very on brand for MAGA." TACO went on Lies Anti-Social to fume about there being “too many holidays” that prevent important work being done.
TACO’s doing a TACO on Iran: Physical coward and mental moron TACO told the world what he’s going to do with regard to Iran yesterday, when he sent his Fluffer, er, I mean Press Secretary - Michael Jackson Nose enthusiast Karoline Leavitt - into the press room to announce that we will all know his decision about going to war with Iran in two weeks: “Based on the fact that there is a substantial chance of negotiations that may or may not take place in the near future, I will make my decision of whether or not to go within the next two weeks.” Yes indeed, it’s the old Two Week TACO: “I’ll show you my even-better health care bill in two weeks.” “I’ll show you my even-better infrastructure plan in two weeks.” “I’ll blah-blah-blah-whatever in two weeks.” After which it is never mentioned again, probably because his mayfly span-of-attention and nonexistent retention capacity forgot all about it. I do feel sorry for the Israelis who believed his promise to help them beat Iran, but I think it’s perfect karma that Nitwityahoo, the Sammy Glick of Great Israeli Leaders, is going to be left holding the hornet’s nest full of angry hornets, for failing to remember that Everything Trump Touches Dies.
Sure hope you don’t mind missing the cherry harvest this year: Cherry growers say they're seeing a severe labor shortage amid President Trump's nationwide immigration crackdown, leading to a massive shortage of berries. A grower in the Mattawa, Washington, area lost about 300 bins — each weighing at least 350 pounds, horticulturist Erik Zavala told area told The Spokesman-Review in a report published this week. “People watch the news,” Zavala said, referring to masked federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents detaining people as part of Trump's ramped-up immigration effort. “It’s definitely having an impact." Zavala said he doesn't care "about that stuff," but knows "this is affecting the growers directly whether they are Democrat or Republican or whatever." "These growers will lose a lot of money and are risking losing their farms because of a lack of labor," Zavala warned. The workers who pick cherries in the area are typically migrants who came to the area from Mexico in search of better wages, according to the report. Zavala estimated that orchards that typically have 100 or 120 workers picking cherries have found they only have 20 or 30 who come to work. Many said they'd heard ICE agents had set up checkpoints near the Oregon border, which "discouraged a lot of pickers from taking the risk," he said.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday restarted plans to temporarily store nuclear waste at sites in rural Texas and New Mexico, even as the nation is at an impasse over a permanent solution. Texas legislators have sent a bill to Gov. Abbott that reiterates the state's stance that nuclear waste may only be stored at the location where a reactor is operating. And Interim Storage Partners, which applied for a federal license to build a spent nuclear fuel storage site in West Texas, said in a statement that it does not plan to continue developing the project "without the consent of the State of Texas." Yeah, not too many people want waste in their backyard that’s fatally poisonous to humans for three times longer than all of recorded human history.

In TACOese, the official language of indecipherable trumpian word salad, “two weeks” is an inestimable length of time somewhere between whenever and whatever. He probably got a phone call from a bunker somewhere in the Urals reminding him that Iran is a prime source of Shahed drones and other weapons for the Russian meat grinder in Ukraine and he better not do anything to hinder the production and flow of those tools of destruction for the big bad Russki bear…or else…
Soggy TACO Salad. Its whats for lunch
