We owe it to all those who are leading and taking risks to protest against the New Totalitarians to get out in the streets in numbers large enough to give them and others cover and support. April 5. Pass it on. Please.

(If I were wealthy, I'd offer a prize for the most "crushing it" sign on the street, but my $47 is going to the poor soul who regularly begs at the intersection where I plan to open-carry my sign.)

There was a protest in Troy, Michigan yesterday and in Detroit Saturday. The one yesterday was outside the local Nazi car dealership and drew about 200 people. The one Saturday, in Detroit, was a bit bigger, drawing about 15,000 people. When the weather gets warmer, I'll join some of these marchers and protests.

In Palo Alto, every Saturday, I’d say we’ve had more than 300 people every week outside the Tesla agency on El Camino Real. I’m beginning to poke around websites and organizations to find out about other demonstrations and it looks like there’s something on Wednesdays as well. Looking ahead as this movement continues to grow. April 5 should be Phenomenal, nationwide.

In the Dept of Fearless Florida politicians…female of course.😉

This is the way Florida Rep. Anna Eskamani is responding to the so-called “Gulf of America” bill that’s making its way through the Florida Legislature.

Taking to X on Thursday, the Orlando native announced that she has filed an amendment to rename the Gulf of Mexico, along with other landmarks, after places in “Star Wars.”

“If we’re renaming things, we might as well go to a galaxy far far away,” said Eskamani.😂

The Democrat — who represents District 42 — also shared photos of the committee/subcommittee amendment document to HB 575, which lists all the name replacements.

“Gulf of America” as “Gulf of Endor”

“Mississippi River” as “Dagobah Current”

“Grand Canyon” as “Sarlacc Pit”

“Florida Everglades” as “Naboo Marshlands”

“Great Lakes” as “Mon Cala Seas”

“Las Vegas” as “Mos Eisley”

“Alaska” as “Hoth”

“Washington D.C. “ as “Galactic Senate”

“I-4″ as “Kessel Run”

We need a pre-clearance law that prevents a president from making drastic changes to a federal agency that directly contravene the laws that are passed, so future presidents can't monkeyf*ck the IRS like they're doing now. 1/4 of our revenue is a BFD and also a libertarian wet dream.

Liking the Creampuff, not liking all the “maliciously false information” spread by donnie and his fascist administration. Project 250 is a great idea, and maybe it’s time to give up on the MAGats and muskrats because their brains have been washed and ironed by the constant lies, except for the 1500 convicts who were pardoned by the chief of chaos and feebleness to be his enforcers.

It’s so hard to read this, but read it I will. And appreciate the effort you put in to documenting the horror that is steamrolling over our country. It must be a grueling task for you, but so important.

Love the Project 250 idea. And love Creampuff, who looks almost exactly like my Katy who died on 9-9-2023. I still miss that sweet girl every day. I was her fav.

I didn't pay much attention to the splashdown, so I don't know WHERE in the Gulf the splash happened. If outside 20 miles, it isn't ours and we have no naming rights.

So Khalil "wasn’t fully forthcoming in his application last year" I've never seen a green card application. Does it have a specific question "do you support the Palestinian people" with a yes/no box?

Elmocar Protests: We are seeing the same logic on these that we saw with the BLM Protests.

a. Many people protest

B. some people damage property

C. Therefore all protestors damage property.

Governor Mills has saaid that as far as she knows "the State of Maine" did NOT tender Krasnov an apology. And Governor Mills doesn't seem to think she has anything for which to apologize, let alone a "full-throated apology." That phrase is too old fashioned and literate to have come out of Krasnov's anusmouth. I wonder who wrote it for him.

And many of the state's women have written postcards (me too!) to Governor Mills to assure her we have her back and please don't appease the bully because it will only make him worse.

Having dealt with former Governor LePage when she was the State Attorney General, she knows how to treat bullies. LePage, who really is a trumpish asshat, including corruption, public drunkeness and lying, used to brag that he "was Trump before Trump was Trump", as though that was some kind of desirable goal. LePage was--and still is--a schmuck of the lowest sort.

LePage would definitely be worse, no doubt whatsoever. I thought he was going to try for Jared Golden's seat....but isn't LePage a FL resident now? How can he be eligible?

I really wish he'd run for something down there--he's a perfect example of "Florida Man"--he'd fit right in down there with all the MAGAts and it would keep him the hell out of Maine (not that I'm wishing a fresh hell on Florida residents; but Paulie might actually be a tad less nasty and corrupt than some of the examples of Florida politicians that are running around (Gaetz, Luna, Scott, DeSantis).

UPDATE on the Saturday, 3/22, death of the former Virginia, U.S. Attorney JESSICA ABER:

NBC News citing a "family friend" reported that Counsel ABER had a "longstanding medical issue."

ABER's replacement in the Eastern Division of Virginia, Erik Siebert, cited her "professionalism, grace & legal acumen".

Kitty-talk detour: Diana the Huntress indeed! CreamPuff is a sweet name, but I can see her rejecting it as she stalks prey in her predator stance. (Make that predatoress.) My very good friend Carol has a sweet four-year-old kitty, somewhat petite, looks a bit like cream puff. Her name is Petra. Oh my goodness, talk about a huntress! I am Aunt Kathie to her, and when I housesit, I’ve developed a whole routine about the things she brings in. Sometimes she hides under the bed and I hear a lot of crunching, and when I go to do some sort of cleanup, it’s all gone! It astounds me. Then she wants to cuddle and I’m like, “I know where those whiskers have been. I don’t think so, at least not right now.” She’s an indoor/outdoor kitty in a very quiet Carmel-like neighborhood of Palo Alto, has a special cat door that opens only for her with embedded sensors chip. That does not prevent her from carrying something in through that door!

Democracy comment: Project 250 is perfect! Studying up to join the movement. Go, Jon Margolis!!!
